Formula L Biscuits

I have been using Southern Biscuit Mix Formula L for many years. Way before I ever started a you tube channel and I still rave about it now as much as I did then.
On my 2 ingredient biscuit video I mentioned that I normally used formula L and many of you have asked me about it so I figured I would take some time and show you what formula L is all about!
2 ingredient biscuit video: • HOMEMADE DELICIOUS 2 ...
Biscuit
1 1/2 cup of Biscuit Mix
1/2 to 3/4 cup of buttermilk
mix together and knead a few times.
Cut out and bake at 450° for 10 to 12 minutes

🤣🤣🤣I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing because I totally understand!! I've tried for years and could never cut the mustard. Once I had to throw the sheet pan with the hardened biscuit bricks in the garbage. Couldn't get the bricks unstuck🤣🤣

I consider myself to be a decent cook, but I have always struggled with making homemade biscuits. They usually always come out too dry and hard. I made biscuits using Bizquick a few times, but didn’t care for them. I then started buying the Pilsbury southern style frozen biscuits and gave up on making my own. Taking the advice from someone at church I went to the grocery store got the Formula L and some whole buttermilk and made them. I couldn’t believe how simple it was to make and how absolutely great they tasted. Folks, if you struggle with making homemade biscuits like me do yourself a favor and use the Formula L recipe. I promise you won’t regret it.

I love this biscuit mix. The pancakes are delicious also. I bought Bisquick for years until I saw a lady I new on Facebook showing a pan of homemade biscuits, I asked her for the recipe and how she made beautiful biscuits. She sent me a picture of the Southern Biscuit bag. She told me where to look in the store. I bought a bag and have never bought a box of any other biscuit mix. The are wonderful with my home canned Peach Preserves and Fig preserves. Thank you for such a wonderful video and if I lived in your area I would definitely go to your church.. What I have seen what your church does and the great get togethers with everyone bringing their favorite dishes everyonr loves. Just great get togethers and good old country cooking. Great fellowship. God bless you and I am glad he kept you here to teach us and share your testimony. Such a wonderful husband who stood by you through it all. Loved the testimony of him asking everyone in your room if they were believers and he was ready to send the nonbelievers out the door. May God continue to bless you and your husband and your family.

Caroline you are a wonderful, strong, Christian woman. I love that you have chosen Jordan for your babies name. How wonderful to know that you will meet your baby Heaven! My granddaughter who was only 17 passed away this past October. Her mother miscarried three times and we know that she has met her siblings, along with her grandparents who passed away before her. To me that is so awesome!

I use my air fryer, to cook the biscuits. Then my kitchen don’t heat up. Air fryer 9 minutes at 400’. Gets hot here in Texas too.

This is the 1st time I've ever watched your cooking channel. And I had such a great time watching. You and your husband are so sooo great together. I just laughed and giggled and had a good ole time! I will try these again, the first time I got my can kicked, ( maybe cause I used milk). I had a hissy fit🫢 but I no swear words. Still not a good feeling. Oh my word. You just made me the proudest I've been since I handed my mom her first and only grandson 30 years ago. I watched your 2 ing. Biscuit video. I had to order from Amazon and paid just shy of 12 bucks for it. But we'll worth it. My mom, who makes hockey pucks, Shhhhh, LOVED THEM so did 4 other ppl. These were awesome. I didn't even turn mine out on the table I formed mine into biscuits by hand right from the doeball no added flour needed.They were fabulous and light and fluffy. They were gone in 10 minutes.

Can’t wait to try these! I have a trick I do with biscuits to avoid eating so much carb but still get to eat them. You know how fluffy and tall they are...well I take out all the middle of the biscuit...all the doughy center part inside I dig it out and basically have the shell of the top and bottom. I put butter on it or make it into a breakfast sandwich, etc. and voila you are still eating a yummy biscuit! I do this with subs too that doughy bread on subs they make, just dig out all that center dough so you have basically a shell of bread with your meats and veggies etc inside and you cut out half the bread but still get to eat a sub!

My mom used to fry up some fatback in a skillet and make a whole cake in the grease. Slice that and add some butter and brown sugar.... the best sweet treat you'll ever have.
