im pretty sure you have to sync the new display to fingerprint sensor using the pixel calibration tool but you have not shown that part.

just followed your instructions and somehow I screwed something up. Now it has a bright line in the top left corner of the screen by the time. Screen worked fine before I attached it to the base of the phone. At least it works 99% of the screen. I hope it doesn't get worst. Original screen went black in the top corners now it's a bright line. No more expensive phones for me. I took my time and I still failed. initial problem was speaker ingested sticky crap. Everything went into a downward spiral after that.

basically, highly trained technician skill is required. it's not easy to manage the physical power while lifting up the screen. if you don't press harder on the screen , it should be fine to use for a while.

Hello, you can return it to the shop where you had your phone repair and ask them why the finger print scanner not working cause in our shop verything works as before we fix the phone.

I don't understand why the sellers/manufacturers of these screen replacements don't just include the fingerprint sensor and plastic frame already installed on the new screen... It CANNOT cost very much more to do that.

Look for glass only repairs. It needs the new glass (preglued or with an additional glue sheet so that there's no mishap with the glue) and then you need a vacuum chamber to get the air bubbles out. The tools are more expensive than a new LCD so... ;)

I've seen a KZbin video on it and yes it's a little more work but I think they heated it up and then use some kind of fishing line to get in between the glass and the assembly and then a little vacuum to get up all the pieces and then some kind of cleaner as well. It's really quite silly that there's not a simpler way to do this considering it's usually just the glass which is a $10 part versus having to replace the entire assembly which is hundreds of dollars. What a complete waste of time, money, energy not to mention resources unnecessarily.
