best advice I was given was just to have 4 lines and 4 fenders, (2 on each side) already set so I dont have to switch sides at the last minute depending on the dock availability and wind direction...

That's 4 more lines and fenders than we ever see on this channel.

Glad he mentioned the power on solo boater method because that is how many prefer to do it

Whiskey Throttle would be a good band name, imo.

The first thing I did when I bought my boat was to install the proper guides and rollers that ensure the boat goes on the trailer correctly every time. I don't understand people who don't do that because it saves a lot of frustration and heartache.

Wonder if the narrator has a boat . Would love to watch him 😂

I am always amazed that all these boat owners don't know the most basic dock maneuver of connecting a bow line then reversing TOWARD the dock to pull stern in.
@arthurbrumagem38442 жыл бұрын
👍👍👍 Wish I could remember that when I’m using my boat
@0424cracker2 жыл бұрын
It seems like the most common mistake is made by the person on the bow who gets a line on a cleat or piling, and then pulls it tight and swings the boat against the pier around the curve of the bow. This forces the stern out and then you have a mess with the boat now sideways to the ramp.

How can you not navigate such a small boat? O.o

The only hard part about solo loading is climbing out of the bow without getting your feet wet. Can be a bit of a climb down.

@@Zzrdemon6633 Yes, assuming the ramp has a dock. Some of mine don’t.

That's why I have steps on the front of my trailer.

Solo loader should have had a line on that center cleat at the dock.

Are ropes so expensive in Florida that you can only get one or two? Keep multiple ropes and at least 4 fenders.
