I have a friend who was Ultra Uber Conservative as well that went to BYU-I. It blows my mind sometimes that people exist in the Church where a place like BYUI can GENUINELY be perceived as being flamingly liberal. On the other hand, it was probably the ONLY place that could wake her up because being the "Church's University" created just enough safety for her to consider ideas that were a slight step away from what she was used to. Anywhere else and she would have insulated herself and doubled down

Regarding where the GAs come from - and the myth that they leave their nets: lawyer James McConkie is a GA Seventy and is representing Gabby Petito’s family in a $50 million suit against the Moab police dept. I guess he’s dragging his net behind him. But then his take-home could be $16 million, so what’s a man to do?

I have great sympathy for Christopher Lee and his family. Nevertheless, I am pained to point out that his succinct description of the Plan of Salvation, though it is commonly and more wordily expressed by most LDS, is entirely wrong-at least according to Mormon scripture. What Christopher and most Mormons think is the Plan of Salvation is really a Mormon largely fictive conjecture about the journey of the soul from uncreated intelligence to godhood over planetary real estate. The scriptural descriptions of the Plan of Salvation is quite different. The best description is set forth in Moses 6:52-62 below. This confusion between the Plan of Salvation and the journey of the soul is just one example of the many doctrinal errors that LDS leaders teach or do not correct and allow members to believe to their detriment. Moses 6:52-62: 52 ​And he also said unto him: If thou wilt turn unto me, and hearken unto my voice, and believe, and repent of all thy transgressions, and be ​​​baptized​, even in water, in the name of mine Only Begotten Son, who is full of ​​​grace​ and truth, which is ​​​Jesus Christ​, the only ​​​name​ which shall be given under heaven, whereby ​​​salvation​ shall come unto the children of men, ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, asking all things in his name, and whatsoever ye shall ask, it shall be given you. ​​​53 ​And our father Adam spake unto ​​the Lord, and said: Why is it that men must repent and be baptized in water?
