I'm glad it was important enough to them to do their absolute best work. I'm writing this under my husband's name because I'm on his phone watching, lol ( so it's a female viewpoint). I'm not a Mormon, but a lifelong Anglican until about 10 years ago. Now I'm just Christian, but where you had the endowment and handshakes, we had memorization of the Christian church split from Catholicism and Bible memorization. I studied and memorized the Bible an hour each night. We had a mandatory contest or exam of Bible knowledge. 300 questions and 2 essays. I was 10! But i was raised to follow the scripture whatever thy hand findeth to do, do it with the might. Even if noone is watching God is. Who you are, is the way you behave when noone is looking. So i appreciate that; although anonymous, you put your best into this.

The support was great, advised the bishop effectively and applying perspective in the appropriate context. I was a bishop and got great advice when I needed it. There were also times I did just contact the police, without requiring the helpline. It helped that I trained as a social worker and had some relevant background knowledge. The church does actually do a good job in protecting the child. There are so many that are dealt with effectively. We also have great procedures: our church membership records follow every member around their whole life. Their previous bishop can make notes on their records and be contacted by their new bishops. Most churches have no such systems to track predator's.

I think you should study the Arizona case a bit more. The mother kept saying nothing was happening. The fist bishop thought it was a one off. The 2nd Bishop didnt know anything else was happening. because the mother wasnt honest about it. The man had been excommunicated from the church, so I assume the first bishop did that. I thought the guy was in law enforcement, though I could be wrong. If he was, what was their responsibility? They had more interaction with the guy than the church had.

I was someone who thought they were misremembering things because the ceremony kept changing and saying that it hasn't changed. The gaslighting got to me really bad, because I went so rarely (never got used to the uncomfortable ritual nature of it).

I being Latter-Day saints, have something to say. I guess you could say I'm a California latter-day saints. Yes, the church does try to control people. That's a given as with all other churches. Although the frightening thing is it controls them politically. I think it's more on the political side than any other side and it's very subtle that's why we have a whole Utah and Idaho and maybe some of Texas and Arizona to some degree, Republican on the Trump side. And there's a lot of other Latter-Day saints that eyes are closed. It's interesting because they're going against their Temple cabinets voting for trump. A rapist, a cheater, a scammer, an adulterer, and the list gets a whole lot longer. A liar how much more The ten commandments are we supposed to vote against how much more of their covenants are they supposed to vote against? They're programmed and their eyes are closed. Love one another as I have loved you as we are all brothers and sisters very interesting there are also brother who are oathkeeper in Utah. Take away up in the church. Need I say more

If you really believe that you are doing the right thing, then everyone would stand up proudly for it. I personally am very concerned for all of you, as you have made covenants in the temple never to reveal what goes on there, yet here you are! You believe that you are revealing the churches "secrets" , but they have never been secret, only sacred. God has warned people of mocking sacred things. And though you may not believe them, they are still sacred.

@KMJ-yi2lf That is true that not everyone holds the same things as sacred, but then why did they need to "expose" it. Why would they care? They would just move on with their lives and let everyone believe what they want. It is not secret. Thousands of people view it every day. I stand by my original statement that if they really believe that what they are doing is right, then they wouldn't feel the need to hide themselves.

God loves gay and lesbian as much as he loves anyone .. But yes same sex attraction was not his intention because clearly scripture says one man and one women. I dont have all the answers and like anyone else I have sin in my life and many issues to deal with. My greatest wish for our lovely LGBT people is to come to know Jesus as lord and saviour.. he does have all the answers if we will submit our lives to hims ....whist I am a great sinner he is a great saviour.

Mormonism is a non-biblical religion, they believe Jesus is created, Jesus is not created, He is the Alpha and the Omega, always was, never changing. So much of their beliefs are not from Gods word, their temple ceremonies are made from Freemasonry rituals and oaths, it is not inspired by God as they claim, just be aware, do your research, they do deceive.

This is so hilarious, How can someone possibly outsmart an all knowing God, what kind of a fool the person would be to think God can be fooled. We as muslim men are commend to stay healthy and strong, abstain from intercourse, stay sober without intoxication of all kinds, hit the gym not a women, we arent even allowed to touch or even see a girl before a marriage The only time we can see a girl without head covering is when you're at her house for proposing a marriage and knowing the female prior to marriage. One side we have the stoicism of Islam and Orthodox Judaism. I mentioned above. Other side we have freedom of Liberalism. In the middle we have morman hypocrisy of soaking and fooling God. I have never felt someone being such a fool.
