Love the commitment dean'o, very informative as always , and you explaining that safety is paramount is the key to hopefully making all fisherman think that way.

thanks legend, its just something a lot of us do without thinking about and others that don't hit the water as much might not think about at all.

Googong dam was dirty and full of debris a few weeks ago after heavy rain , spent more time avoiding semi submerged logs and trees than looking for a fish.

@@DeanSilvester Nothing mate so much debris in the water the sounder was going nuts , they ended up closing the dam for a couple of weeks when water was going over the wall. Eventually it cleared up but only got some yellas, Roman got onto some cod with his new Lowrance livesite gear. Some of the others running the Garmin gear found fish as well.

for cod? mainly chatterbaits and white coloured lures. in the dirty water the fish should be shallower and tight to the structure

Yewwww.. cod videos are back! Haha. You’ll have to hit Copeton, it’s looking so good out there at the moment, there is a bit of crap on the water but definitely no where near as bad as that, water isn’t as dirty either. Went out yesterday for a paddle/fish in the yak, no fish but was good to get out for the arvo. Got the biggest surface strike of my life last week out there, no hookup.. was fuming, next time! 🤙🏼🤓🤙🏼🎣

You know you're a pro when you're designing your own lures mate!. I couldn't see in the video, but how do you retrieve those glide baits? Is it slow roll with pauses like swbaits? On another note, that looks cold as heck man there's no way I could handle that kind of chill being a FNQer!! Haha good on you! 👍
@DeanSilvester3 жыл бұрын
hahaha! yep and thats not even cold yet. Wait till later in the year when runners and reels start to freeze up. Yes just super super slow roll with some pauses etc to trigger any following fish.

Good safety tips Dean , there's been a few blokes falling out of tinnies lately with their boats still running in circles and even worse a bloke went missing and hasn't been found yet. Life jacket and Killswitch lanyard should be mandatory when fishing alone.
@DeanSilvester3 жыл бұрын
definitely should mate, especially in the colder months when the heavy clothes and cold water play a big part in not being able to swim properly
