It took my wife getting sick from eating raw mushrooms to convince her to wash, and cook mushrooms before eating them. I either cook them in a pan, like you, or in the microwave. I freeze the leftovers..

Yes you have to wash the shrooms and wash the meats. This pat it dry crap is for the birds. I don't know what is wrong with folks not washing the food. Mushrooms take on very little water washing them. Tv chefs smh they got a song and dance for it all.

​​@@bbqsouthernstyleBeen eating raw mushrooms 30 years including the stalks that probably still have manuer on them.. high temps clean your meat as long as you cook it correct everything dies in the cooking process...washing pesticide crops fruits n veggys from supermarket yh wash the life out off them coz there loaded with pesticides use a ultrasonic fruit n veggy cleaner but mushrooms are grown inside in dark rooms I belive I don't think they use pesticides on meat or mushrooms or root veg but fertilisers is another thing entirely u never know what or where that stuff is
