My granddaddy who is from Shreveport, Louisiana & a cook on a ship, NEVER, EVER put Okra in his gumbo. He always kept it simple, but packed with FLAVOR 😋. He also made some BOMB ASS Chili, too. Hella good. Rest In Peace, Gramps. 😊
