The story in this game really does feel like someone verbally talking to you about the plot of ATLA whilst half remembering most of the important plot points and skipping over big and small details. Like the story of ATLA going through a game of telephone. Which makes it a bold choice, in the final cutscene, to imply that the massive timeskips and lack of continuity is because this is actually like three old men retelling the story from what they remember. Basically admitting in the ending scene that they butchered the story, and are trying to hide behind that detail as an excuse.

ambient heat I guess, not like the earth cools to freezing suddenly during an eclipse. also under ground where heat gets trapped easily, there's no way direct sun can get into caves so either fire benders are fucked in every cave or there's some alternative source of heat/fire for bending which azula uses. in some ways the game is more scientifically accurate than the series. by no means does that mean it's better though, this game is a train wreck at best.

Skipping through the beginning of the season is missing a lot of context, including great character moments. Zuko grasping his return to the Fire Nation and learning Azula gave him credit for conquering Ba Sing Se, Aang still reeling from his loss and having to craft an identity briefly, Katara learning to inspire people in the Fire Nation, Sokka getting his kickass black meteorite sword... nah, no time for ALL OF THAT awesome stuff.

Of all the stuff from the show they could've cut, the dragon dance was something that actually would've made sense to include. They could've done a dancing minigame and one where you have to carefully take the eternal flame up the mountain without putting it out. From what ive seen from Alphas video Imo, they couldve salvaged this if they made it to be more like a travelers tale game 1. Include a couple of an medium open world hub areas that can be explored to find collectibles like character tokens that allow you to replace the main cast with a side character in their type 2. mission area be more open ended with secrets and collectibles so it feels less hallway like 3. Trim the story so it will be less clunky. They could include any additional plot points missed through character dialogue given at the beginning or end of each level 3.5 maybe include a pokemon bw2/BOTW memory mechanic to view key moments (like zuko confronting ozai) 4. Make the writing less serious, include non plot related dialogue, tell funny jokes and include side conversations to make world appear more fleshed out (good writing can make bad game design more tolerable, just ask color splash) 4.5. Maybe include kid icarus style self aware dialogue that references the original cartoons plot or the weird videogame mechanics in a funny way 5. Change how each character works, have aang primarily use airbending and flesh out the mechanic to be more provide more height and platforming ability, katara and toph be used for puzzles that are more thought out than what they had and make Sokka and Zuko being combat focused 6. Dont release the game a buggy mess In other words this shouldve been Lego Avatar the Last Airbender
