I'm late. Damn. But I just wanna say, when done properly, enemies to lover does have an appeal, when both sides arrives to a place where they agree with principles/things that really matters. Let's say the MCs are on opposite side of the war, they may be enemies, but both sides at the end of the day agrees that lives shouldn't be taken carelessly. They may be representing different ideology but their moral compass are more or less on the same direction. Ultimately, in real life, relationships where two people with different personalities only works when they compliment each other's. And the truth that people don't wanna accept is there are certain conditions that has to be met for that to happen; 1. They must respect each others boundaries. 2. Their personal growth shouldn't be solely dependent on their partner. 3. Their line of communication should be open and nobody should prey upon the vulnerability of that. Wherein they can both voice out their insecurities about themselves or in relationship itself. 4. If a conflict arises, both parties should understand that the goal of their argument is not about winning, but seeing the other party's perspective and finding a middle ground where they can work on their issues. For example, let's say a reserve, shy type and an outspoken, outgoing type are dating. (Cuz that's seems to be everyone's favourite example lmao). It's only complimentary when one person doesn't overshadow the other. If that shy person finds a social situation overbearing, that out going person shouldn't force them to interact with people if their partner hits thier social limit. Vice versa, that reserve person shouldn't force their outgoings partner to stay at home if they wanna go out and have fun with their friends from time to time. The key, like in every thing, is balance. Just because you're shy and reluctant to social setting, it doesn't mean that you should isolate yourself every time your partner asks you to hang out with other people. Because their friends are gonna be your friends too. One way or another. On the other hand, if you like partying, it doesn't mean you should go out every night and leave your partner at home alone to the point of abandonment. Both sides should adjust to cater each other's needs without compromising your entire personality. That's where real maturity lies. All these conditions basically works with whatever nature your relationship is; Opposite personalities or not. We tend to forget that people that are too alike can be explosive together too. Because it doesn't really depend on that. Because people are people, and we are complicated. And so are our relationships are gonna be. Whether its romantic, platonic, or familial love. No relationship is 'low maintenance' because all relationships should be worth putting effort into. Ultimately, if that person on the other end of a relationship down plays your opinions and problems, it's gonna be toxic. Unless, that person works on how imposing they are. It's bare minimum that they respect and care for you. Note: All of these are under the assumption that everyone involved are decent people. If that person is an asshole, they can just go and fuck themselves lololol. Another note: Amazing video, take care y'all. Muwahhhh.
