A torn look is a decorative look which adds to the style especially if it's a vintage or old style. There are also scissors with decorative edges that look nice or you can have a combination of straight cuts. It makes it interesting just as the paper you use. It should be whatever someone wants to do, it's an individual expression after all. I like mixed media art.

Love, love, love this project. It's awesome. I've got some rhinestones on a black tape similar to that. I couldn't use it in the application that I intended so I've been pulling the stones off of the tape and using them one at a time. You've just shown me a different way to use them without pulling them off of their tape. Thank you very much

I love this Edith. I was actually telling you to use black ink on the white lace, but the brown is fine as well. Sometimes I can't yell hard enough :) :) !!! I found that black bead trim at my Michael's store! Be safe & TYFS.

So lovely. Did you know that if you tear papers down instead of up towards, you on papers such as book illustrations and magazines, you get a better edge and hardly any white to ink . I discovered this when collaging. .

On Amazon, I searched for "cotton lace trim", and "cotton lace by the yard" and found quite a few black laces. Also beige lace. And some came in lots of colors. Also, the Tim Holtz ink distresser tools are easy to find now. I spend a lot of time browsing on Amazon lol, and find lots of good stuff. 😊 One more thing...I think sometimes we tear our paper rather than cutting it because it just feels good!! 😅 It's a great stress relief!
