NoteQuest - Part 2 - Expanded Rules

So, you've played the basic game for a while, exploring dungeons, temples, and crypts. Defeated all manner of monsters and experienced the deaths of many characters!! What's next?
How about exploring the World above the Dungeon. How about Hexploring the land, finding new cities and fortresses, learning new classes and advancing your character. How about using a new Race, casting new spells, building a kingdom and smiting all around you?
Sounds interesting?
Then you should move on to the Expanded Rules of "NoteQuest".

I love this game! Ive made it a little more appealing to myself by making a few personal modifications, like exchanging the dungeons for Hogwarts or the Forbidden Forest and exploring the Castle after hours and trying not to get caught and expelled lol...but I still play this game as it is and love it

Well you beat me to it - was gonna release a video on this next month :P Can't really believe how much this expansion adds to the game, though I find myself wondering how much of it you get to use, given how quickly characters (in my experience, at least) snuff it! I may have to adjust the initial health or something so my characters last a little longer and I get to experience more of this expanded gameplay. Although I suppose you can drop subsequent characters into a hex-world that has already been partially explored by a deceased character... Great introductory video, especially the hexcrawl demo!

Many thanks! I wonder the same thing! Just finished recording gameplay footage... and there is plenty of 'snuff-age'!! To be honest I don't think I will ever get to the stage where Emperor Bane gets to invade neighboring domains, but there will definitely be some Hexploring going on! When I watched your vids I was actually surprised you didn't venture into the Enhanced elements. Look forward to seeing them 😄

@@IthaquasBane yup, difficult to imagine reaching Emporer level 😂 I think I initially downloaded the core rules and only went in on the expanded world once I'd played through a few times. Then discovered that if you buy the expanded ruleset, that includes the core rules anyway. Ah well 🙂

After you "survive" a dungeon, you have plenty of gold and cash to expend. Then, you can have hirelings and start buying classes. Other option is to keep replaying the same terrain over and over, scavanging old gear from your dead characters. It's pretty much an analog roguelike :)

I have a session ongoing at the moment that I am recording in parts for gameplay videos.... surviving is a challenge LOL, I may have to run through a number of disposable characters just to kill all the monsters 'protecting' previous characters gear hahahaha

For the Notequest dungeons it was Tokens/Assets from 2MinuteTabletop and Powerpoint... nice and simple!! 😲

In the Phorbited Races there are some political jokes that only make sense in Brazil, but reading in English, some of them keep funny even without context
