Addendum to the last video regarding the Dapol 08 battery conversion board/kit.
It is also available for the early version shunter, the edition that came with directional marker light at the centre-top of each end, it has 6 lights in total.
This board also has 3-pin sockets for the shunting lights (rather than 5-pin) and an 8 pin decoder option. When using 8-pin, it can be configured with a jumper to operate both end’s shunting lights from the Aux1 output, or if the decoder is 4-function, you can remove the jumper and solder the loose, violet wire from the decoder to one of the jumper pins on the board so the rear shunting lights are operated by Aux2.
I normally slice off the tags that 'lock' the charging plugs in their socket. There's no need for the charge plug to be that secure, it's more beneficial that it's easier to insert/remove.
