it reminds me of the time i got scammed for currency on a browser game (it was years ago i was young and naive) so it led me to a website where i gave my password but my account were so high level that they played on it (i had no givable ressource in my inventory since i spent it in a event) and years later when i came back to the game for nostalgia i noticed that i had ways more ressource and items so i just changed the password thanks scammer for grinding my account for me

This is why it's important to teach kids about internet safety and how to spot scams. My little sister plays roblox and I made sure to drill it into her that any claim she could get free robux is a scam, and she's thankfully had unsupervised use of a laptop since the age of 10 without a single virus or security breach. Funnily enough, children aren't idiots if you actually try to teach them. They have sense and will listen, they're just naive.

Something that is also being done is these apps they have you use can sometimes include SDK's from proxy providers, and then the creator of the app gets paid by a company to use your mobile phone to proxy network connections. Most often used for stuff like web scraping etc Edit: Since making this comment, I have had 3 subscribers from roblox scammers... go figure?

As a small trick, generally you can have "free robux" with social engineering, aka just get in your knees and beg a friend with money or make developer friends. The easier way is to have a premium user AFK your own game or actually just afk as a non premium user, the silly pending robux thing will take time and it'll take a month maybe. But you can make yourself robux.

I had to design an email change routine not too long ago. In order to complete the process an email is sent to the new address which then requires a login with the valid account password and the previous email address to verify. Also just blocks attempts if the IP address, user agent or headers are different. Thinking about adding some cookie verification too, but it already is causing some users to get flustered having to remember two mail addresses and a password -_-

Oh my gods the club penguin generators! They existed because one DID work. It was a website, and when you put your username in (ONLY) - there was this stupid glitch/hack and basically the website could actually give you coins ingame 🤣 but then that got shut down VERY quickly and then those horrible scams started to pop up. I remember using that site, and thinking it wouldn’t work because how tf would only giving username with no password etc work.. but I ended up with 1m on that account 😭 it was crazy. Back then games were just full of loopholes and problems lol!
