I honestly hate that posting "Nothing happens in Thriller Bark" has become so normalized under reactors content (KZbin comments are acceptable because they're already expected to be full of spoilers so most reactors don't even check them unless they're moderated, but posting it on Patreon is just plain annoying) . If it was ever funny it was when it was new, but that was 16 years ago. At this point its just the perpetuation of a joke that, in my opinion, only takes up space in the reactors head when we could have instead seen their genuine and untainted reaction to the actual event. Instead we get about 10 seconds of genuine reaction followed by a minute of realization that they have been duped and now the moment is linked to a stupid meme instead of the powerful moment that it is. Okay so to clarify the Kuma machine thing a bit, just for wording: He does confirm that he is a cyborg (which does mean he'd be a human who got machine parts added), and the "different from Franky" thing is phrased in the way of "incomparable to / in a different league". Thing you need to understand about the warlords is that most orders are more like suggestions. The only thing that can cost them their job is taking actions that directly opposes the world government or refusing an order that comes with a "do this or lose your title" type of ultimatum attached to it. Remember in the meeting where Doffy and Kuma were introduced they mentioned that Mihawk was the one they least expected to show up for the meeting, and Doffy mentioned that he only showed up because it suited his desires.

Its very simple: -Zoan: Transform into an animal. Can switch between 3 forms: your normal form, the animal form, and a hybrid form. As Chopper showed, certain drugs can result in extra forms. -Logia: Create, control and transform into a natural element or substance. This is important, ALL of these things need to be fulfilled for a fruit to be Logia. If someone can only do 1 or 2 of those 3, and/or the substance is not naturally-occuring, then the fruit is not a Logia. -Paramecia: Literally everything else that doesn't fall into the previous two groups. Being made of rubber, turning into blades, creating extra limbs, creating doors on thin air, etc.

One thing i would also like to clarify is that some people say that Zoro felt more damage than Luffy did with Luffy's pain because he is rubber, i would like to say that's completely false. The if you've played video games u could easily understand this, that if lets say an attack that Luffy took damaged him and reduced -20HP And If Zoro took that same attack his hp that would get deducted would be lets say 60HP (Since Luffy has Rubber body and Zoro has human body) Now if we make the same scene liie nothing happened with Zoro and Zoro took Luffy's pain, 60HP would not be deducted from Zoro instead 20HP would be deducted, thats how damage and pain works, Kuma fruit transfers what Luffy himself felt not what Zoro would feel if he was in place of Luffy. Hope I'm clear. Cause I see people get this wrong all the time Regardless this takes doesn't take away anything from Zoro cause what mattered at the end of the day was that he stood on business and took Luffy's pain. The one thing i would like to point out is that the reason why Luffy was passed out was not because he couldn't endure the pain ( enduring pain is something he does in every arc) it was because of his stamina issue with gears. First his Nightmare Luffy form where 100 shadows were shoved into him, then he used Gear 2 and then he used gear 3, and then he proceeds to do something he's never done before using Gear 2 and 3 at the same time. He overexerted his body beyond his limit especially because he hasn't mastered his gears, the crew even comments on this. (Kuma's flashback further confirms my comment about the damage thing)

I'm surprised you guys haven't clocked onto the fact that Devil Fruit abilities are semantic in nature. Kuma repels everything by "pawing" it, Gomu Gomu is the onomatopoeia for rubber so Luffy is a Rubber Human, Goro Goro is the onomatopoeia for the sound of thunder so Enel is a Lightning Human, etc. To quote TV Tropes on Semantic Superpowers: "A power that is defined solely by wording, and thus capable of a great deal of stretching what it is capable of. Can be used to justify Heart Is an Awesome Power. Done poorly, it comes across as an Ass Pull unless it's obviously being Played for Laughs. In many cases, this is an example of a weapon or power that overtly tests the creativity of the wielder and their ability to think outside the box. Often, when villains get ahold of the device, they fail at using it, only to be scolded by the hero that their flaw is that they lack the imagination and creativity to make any real use of the item. A creative villain with a power like this, on the other hand, is one to be very much feared."

He was testing everybody so he decided that as the outcome of the event, was like when Mihawk decided to spare Luffy too just because of his way of thinking.

I think it's important to keep in mind that Paramecia are like, the least straightforward devil fruits there are, and how their powers can be used can be a wide range as long as it's within the creative sphere of the user. Sure, some are more straightforward than others (Buggy splits and Luffy stretches), but if you think of Wapol or Blueno, their powers had a much wider effect than you'd think based on the name. Wapol couldn't just eat everything, he could use those things he ate to transform himself, and he could take on the abilities of the thing he transformed himself into, like turning into a combination factory that let him literally combine people, a power quite far beyond from what you'd expect from just "eating things". So with Kuma's fruit, the core ability is "repelling", which also can mean a myriad of things and therefore lead to a lot of different potential abilities 😊

for the longest time I always said that "pacifista" likely comes from the word "pacify" as in to stop something from being a problem. Sure it SOUND peaceful, but sometimes people use the word "pacify" as a euphemism for murder. What else would the World Government, an organisation obsessed with PR, call one of its greatest weapons to look like they're the 'heroes' of the world? FYI, KUma said he's a cyborg, so he's PROBABLY not a full robot. He also straight up said his pushing powers come from the Paw Paw Fruit and I don't see how he'd lie (plus his powers wouldn't make since if it was just the force of the steam or whatever powering his body) "why is he asking people questions?" First for Zoro when he first joins the crew he tells Luffy during the Shellstown arc with Axe hand Morgan “if you ever get in the way of my dream I’ll kill you and leave” to which Luffy laughs and says”bet” essentially and than in Post Ennies Lobby he reinforces that by telling everyone if Luffy ceases to be the man he expects him to be he’ll be the next person to leave the crew and yet here we are in Thriller Bark with him willing to give up his head and his and Kuina’s dream for Luffy. The second is that it shows how much Luffy himself bears for the crew. It gives the reader/viewer a visual in how much pain and fatigue Luffy bears and takes for the sake of the crew/people he’s protecting. I can’t remember if it’s Alabasta or Ennies Lobby that Chopper remarks on how Luffy always picks his opponents and always knows who is the most dangerous or powerful to go after and Kuma lets us see the toll of that mixed in with Luffy using gear 2 which as Blueno said is dangerous and takes a toll on his body coupled with Luffy having just absorbed 100 shadows. So the pain Zoro takes and lives through is remarkable show of endurance and loyalty it’s also remarkable that this is what Luffy takes on a normal basis as Captain and just moseys on as if nothings wrong. It’s also evident on how Luffy remarks on how light and good he feels afterwards not knowing what’s transpired.
