I love how this video highlights the different ways cats show affection! However, some people argue that cats are just being their usual independent selves and don’t really express love the same way dogs do. What do you all think? Are cats truly affectionate, or are we just projecting our feelings onto them

Honestly, I think cats are just being their usual selves. They can be sweet sometimes, but it often feels like they’re just looking for food or attention when they come to us. I love them, but I wouldn’t say they’re as affectionate as dogs

Cats are definitely affectionate. I have no idea why some people think they are aloof bc it's not true.

If you have a cat or cats you are a very lucky person, be thankful for every minute you have with them. I had to have my boy put to sleep almost a year ago now. I have missed him, his sweetness and his unconditional love so much it's been hard to bear. I think of him every day wishing he was still with me.

My husband, our 2 daughters, and I had 4 wonderful very different cats. After they crossed the 🌈 bridge, we rescued 2 dogs. They bonded tightly with him after the playful stage. Our dogs disliked cats, squirrels, our grandchildren, and of all things UPS and FedEx carriers. One dog passed a year ago, and I will cry at sudden memories. My husband is still upset at times. Why am I giving you this unnecessary prelude? After some point when our other dog passes I want 2 cats I could rescue. I feel so guilty saying that. Our dog has a collapsed right thorax. When she needs more air it sounds very much like a goose honking. She has pain medicine which allows her to rest and disperse the pain. She also has an immunity problem. All of her feeding and walking is done by my husband. Watching these cast videos bring me more joy than you can imagine. Yes, I know his ridiculously long. It really helps me to tell you how much a soft purring cat would mean.

i game at my desk he snuggles down into my lap--some times into a deep mouse chasing dream, or i wake up with him sleeping against my body in bed, so quiet i never knew he curled up there. when we went to the vet for the rescue Meet 'n' Greet, he wrapped himself all around her. i find her snoozing on the couch, with him holding down the blanket. "my cat"--nope, he loves us both.

I have four cats and two dogs they are my babies. I couldn’t imagine my life without them. They make me happy. I made my boyfriend mad when he was saying he didn’t want no animals to be tied down to. I told him I wasn’t getting rid of my babies for any man or anybody. I told him they are always there for me they love me unconditionally, and I love them. He shut up about animals. Great video. That’s very sweet…..I remember when we first started dating my ex told me (out of nowhere really) the same thing but I was like “bruh your cats are super cute and they love me too and I would never ask anyone to get rid of their pets” 😊
