He said that the album has a progression from where he was at the beginning, and that journey ends up in another place. 3 EP songs and this one are the first ones on the record. Then is crossing a line (number 8) where he asks if its alright to move on, and he does. Of course he is still struggling, but I think he has found an escape through music / art and we should be happy and not worried for him. Enjoy it man! Looks like he is starting to as well.

Suicide is not selfish. It is not "taking the easy way out" and it is not cowardly. Depression is an illness. You do not call people selfish when their illness kills them. You do not blame someone with a disease for succumbing to their disease. Each person suffers differently. It is not always easy to "just get help" and like any other diseases and illnesses, sometimes the treatments don't work. Depression is real, it is debilitating, it is painful. It's hard to explain how you could feel connected to a person that you don't even know, however his music and passion in life was always something I relate to since i was a child. Rest in peace my childhood legend. R.I.P, CHESTER. ADIÓS CHESTER BENNINGTON 1976-2017 | LINKIN PARK 2018... ❤️👽🎤🎸🎹🎼

I love the symbolism of this video...starts off as a spectator to a disaster, followed by Mike trudging through the aftermath of said disaster while he's trying to piece together what has happened, short clips can seen that represent memories of said disaster, then it ends off on the road again like at the beginning of the video as a way of saying life goes on... And it's all paralleled by his experiences within the year...it's heartfelt, deep, and emotional...

Chester IS singing with Mike. It's not just you. It's not an illusion of the mind. I can feel Chesters presence in the song.. As if I was sitting in the studio as the song was being recorded. Not only does Mike's main vocal track sound like Chester., But there is definitely someone in the background vocals. @Mike_Shinoda you guys really did save a generation. And saving a generation means you saved the world. We (your listeners) always knew inside that we had a divine purpose in this world, but the coldness of the world and the isolation we felt caused us that one step closer to the edge, and we would have broke. It was the music poured from LP's souls; it was the feelings translated into perfect words, right up to that edge... And into the next track. We learned whether consciously or subconsciously, to keep moving forward... To the next track... The next day.... The next light.

To all who believe that lie, which says, Masons have no power: That dear soul is a clear lie, they still busy doing whatever they are doing (biblically deceiving mankind) and still they have the same if not even more power. The masons haven+t gone nowhere, their club just in the late 20th century and early 21st century, exploded, meaning went bigger by many souls who became the sell outs. That`s the only reason we have TV s in our homes and the entertainments, through music , movies, sports. If, as you seem to believe, masons power has gone down the drain, then our so loved TVs won´t show of any kind of picture. It then will be just a pointless box. There be then no daily news. And there WON´T be then any kind of money in use. Yep, that`s the picture i will get if the masons power have truly gone down the train. Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Without the masons nor the death club of freemasonry, there be not a single soul who`s sell out nor will there be any reason nor a chance to become one. SOULS, SEARCH: BIBLE + FREEMASONRY. Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. And remember souls: This world was never what we thought it was, nor it will never be what we wish it be.

This is the 1st song of Mikes that I could instantly feel Chester’s voice! Mike is doing such an amazing job with his loss/grief/healing! I’m touched and honored that he is sharing and allowing us in on his journey! I, just one person, would like to thank you personally, for sharing the good/bad/ugly, and the beautiful raw pain and confusion that comes with loss/healing. Its hard to wake up one day and realize your important ones are not in this world anymore, feeling lost and frustrated for not being able to do anything. The world becomes black and all your thoughts are for them...but you...the people out there crying for your lost, you are not alone, even if it seems there is no way to end up the pain, even if your eyes wont dry after years, you never walk alone. Be strong and stand up firmly, for your love ones, live all what they couldnt, cry the same amount they did, and smile because you were able to have them in your life. Be your own´s life strength so you can be the strength for the rest. Even if i dont know you, im here for you, the ones reading this. Do never forget that the brightest day always comes after the darkest night. Be well, all of you.

I discovered linkin park in 2003 when I was young, at that time Mike was my "favourite" of them as a true genious but Chester made love himself for the reasons we all know, he gave the deep and they compensate perfectly each other. Now, after all this, I'm discovering Mike again in a new way that confirm his genius, it's like part of Chester survives in him. As a linkin park fan i felt always "cuddled" by the group and this built the special relationship and feelings that makes everything more sad and personal from a point of view, but on the otherside it makes me more proud of this new work.

I've ALWAYS used your(Linkin Park) music to get me thru different rough stretches in my life, ALL of your new songs since Looking for an Answer Hit me SOOOOO hard, I lost my 15 yr old son 10/7/16 to suicide. These songs are putting words, that have been hard to find, to all these feelings and emotions I have been dealing with these last 18 months. It breaks my heart knowing all too well the pain and emotions you, the rest of the guys and Chester's family are going thru. Only advise is just take things day by day at you speed and worry about you and you family. If anybody starts telling you that you should be "over it" and "move on already" tell them to get F'n LOST cuz your grief is yours and nobody else's!!! Much Love & Respect Mike!!!!!!!!!

Mike, thank you. You have no idea, how much does this mean for me (and probably not only for me). Thank you for sharing your pain with us. We are in pain too. The reason why I love LP so much, is that your lyrics were always able to express my feelings, my pain, my depression and it was helping me that i knew, that there is someone else, who feels in the same way. You were my best friends since I was 12. Sometimes your songs were the only thing, keeping me from suicide. When Chester died, I felt really bad- I mean really really bad. But your songs are helping me to heal my heart. Again- now I know, that there is someone who is so fucking down and broken as I am because of Chester.

Miška Tomčíkova The sensibility makes you understand and feel stronger the life's feelings, even if they are bad or good, as Chester was, an intense person. I lost my grandmother, my favorite singer, (who indirectly helped me a lot with his songs) and my best friend in the past of the last year. I keep trying to find a light through the darkness, and Mike's songs are much powerful, but the intensity of the life is ambiguous and sometimes you just can't get out of your head. Accepting ourselves and absorving life's positive energy everyday is the way to get stronger. Keep it up!

I still feel this comment 100%. 2017 was one of my worst years for many reasons, it’s hard to explain, now nearly eight years later, I am in a severe depression, horrible physical pain after two failed back surgeries, all alone as my friends have abandoned me, and struggling every minute of every day to stay alive. I am mostly alive for my mom, but don’t know how much longer I can do it. I’m an atheist but maybe in some way I can rock out with Chester. I’ll be 38 this year and plan to be gone by 41 like Chester’s age. I am ten years younger than Chester, but if I make it to 41 that will mean my entire last ten years since he died will have been shit (not because of him, but the world is worse without him) and I am just done. 😢

Much respect and admiration to Mr. Shinoda for doing his best to understand the un-understandable, and having the courage to show it to the world. Sometimes the question is the answer. If anyone doesn't understand what Mike Shinoda is speaking of, tragedy hasn't yet touched you. It will. When it does, small things like this song will find their rightful place within you. Thank you, Mike, for having the strength to soldier on when it doesn't seem possible. May others follow your lead.

Shinoda is badass, its such a huge loss when Chester passed. Imo he could continue on with linkin park with him as lead vocals, and just other featured artists for new music . I can't wait for more music from shinoda . WAY UNDERRATED.
@Ariel_thenotsolittlemermaid3 жыл бұрын
Well, they've started writing together again, so there probably will be more Linkin Park music. But I honestly can't see a way for them to continue without getting someone to replace Chester... leaving aside new music what will they do during shows? They can't do most of their songs with Mike singing... as good as he is, he can't hit many of Chester's notes- not to mention many of their songs have 2 vocal parts, so no one can sing them alone. They will have to get someone, even if it's just someone to be on stage with them and not create the music with them.
@epsilonecho14363 жыл бұрын
@@Ariel_thenotsolittlemermaid Not gonna sound patronizing but Mike is better at singing higher notes. He does all harmonies including the chorus and bridge and outro of Catalyst. I wasn't aware of it until I heard multi tracks. Plus we all know No Roads Left where he just killed it. And then he also sings in higher note in rebellion, talking to myself and Lookin for an answer and castle of glass (2 and half keys higher in fact). So it's not gonna be a problem. What the real problem is people saying he can't scream or growl like Chester which he can... But he won't. He said it will be dishonoring to Chester's speciality plus.... I don't know but are we supposed to define a good musician based on his screaming and growling?
@Ariel_thenotsolittlemermaid3 жыл бұрын
@@epsilonecho1436 1. There's a huge difference between doing high harmonies and actually singing high notes. His voice is a lot lower than Chester's, and that's a fact- he won't ever be able to hit those notes when he's doing lead vocals (the ones you mentioned where he does high notes in lead vocals, like No Roads Left, are high for him, but not even close to Chester's). And even if he did want to learn how to scream, that takes a long time to learn. The guy is in his 40's, do you really think he'll start learning a whole new way of singing NOW? Not to mention, if he has to learn to do that before the band can perform again, then we'll have to wait years. And lastly, I agree with you that what makes a good artist is not just their ability to scream- but that is a huge part of LP's catalog. If no one in the band can perform it, then they can't play half of their songs live, including some of their biggest hits. I'm not saying that Mike's not a good singer, because he is- but he's not Chester. He doesn't pretend like he's Chester, and we shouldn't either.
@epsilonecho14363 жыл бұрын
@@Ariel_thenotsolittlemermaid Of course, it will be a deal to do it live but I am confident that LP can continue with Mike as lead singer. He is a genius when it comes to making music and they have moved away from their nu-metal genre a long time ago. Most of their HT and Meteora songs are overplayed and there are still many in the albums waiting for their debuts. We can only hope, as fans from heart, that they will construct the brilliance they used to.

I look forward and also am able to laugh again...and than in the middle out if nowhere it gets me totally. I walk by the chocolate milk he loved so much and suddenly everything is alive again. Our time we had, our laughters and his loss. It gets better with the time and new things take place where the pain took everything. The world seems without meaning from time to time ...and than it is like I feel him beside me. He wants me to be happy. I have been in love for Linkin Park music since years. What especially got me falling in love is because I found myself in so many songs. It gave me strenght. I wished I could give you strenght in return now. without offence for nobody. I think Mike always has been the real deal behind Linkin Park. Chester was the voice, the face of the band, but this guy (Mike Shinoda), was, is, and will be the heart, brain and soul of LP. TOO HUMBLE TO EVEN ACCEPT IT.
