This will be the first comment that I've ever left on KZbin. I'm a 48 year old school teacher, first responder, husband, and dad. I'm probably not Linkin Park or Mike's perceived audience. However, I have been a Linkin Park fan since the beginning. For almost a year after Chester's death, I couldn't listen to Linkin Park when they'd pop up on Pandora. I've been listening to Mike for the last hour or so while getting ready for a Parent Night at my high school. Mike, I don't know if this will ever get to you-- and I don't mean this to sound patronizing--but I'm proud of you. I know you've been through a lot, and you felt your whole world get upended around you. You came through this, and you found your voice. It is strong, and has a message that needs to be told. Consider me a "Mike Sinoda" fan from today on.

He really does have a strong voice & I know Chester Bennington is as proud as we are!!! ♥️♥️

hello dad, if my dad still alive he would be at your age, I'm 26. I had been a fan of Mike Shinoda since the song 'Believe me' released and I always appreciate his work even though I don't have enough power to support him except for keep getting back and listen to his songs. I got a lot of inspiration to getting myself back up and continue to work on my dream, and I'm sure many people will get something from his songs. Welcome to the family.

The brains, hands, eyes and heart of the band is still here and speaking as a fan of this Band for a long time I feel that people owe them all the same love and respect as Chester ever received. They were more than just his brothers, they are also the creators of the band's philosophy that is shared by everyone who loved even one of their songs.

This is a far cry from the Mike Shinoda that labels wanted to drop back when they were going into the studio to record Hybrid Theory. Chester stood up for him, and odd 20 years later everybody's looking at Mike for support and the hope and dream to keep Linkin Park alive after Chester's passing. This shows not only the brotherhood these two friends had but also the fortitude and perseverance that made them one, if not the, biggest band on the planet come 2020.
@nightrose83653 жыл бұрын
Finally someone who noticed that. Yeah everyone thinks just Chester was struggling. Mike was just as bad as chester at that time.
@raymondnewbill52943 жыл бұрын
Chester didn't stand up for him though.... It's a nice heartwarming story!!! But it's just a lie.... Hybrid Theory was basically done being recorded. But Shinoda thought they needed a singer/screamer to really create the sound he had in his head. So their manager from the label started looking around. He knew chester and his previous band. He told Chester to come try out this new band Linkin Park. Well he showed up and Shinoda was shown his vocal range and what he could do with his voice. So Shinoda told him what parts to sing and what parts to scream on the album. They recorded his voice. Mixed and mastered it and Hybrid theory was a wrap!!! Mike Shinoda IS Linkin Park!!! He wrote damn near everything!!! I'm talking lyrics AND music.... Yes they would not be nearly what they are if Chester never showed up. But Mike Shinoda is GENUINELY one of the greatest musicians/artists TO EVER WALK THIS EARTH!!! The dude is on another level musically. It's not just talent, he is god tier level at this shit!!!

I feel like I've been speedrunning through my love for Linkin Park, and I keep missing Chester more and more, but Mike makes it hurt less. Seeing that Mike is still around and kicking and still making amazing music helps through the loss. I at least have someone I can still love for making such a difference and continuing to be.

i don't know why this type of songs don't get billion views or perform well in charts. such a masterpiece.

Preetam Sengupta yes stupid songs like despacito get billions of views but not the linkin park songs and this one. Let us make Numb get billions of views
@hubson14436 жыл бұрын
Preetam Sengupta Because people love Spanish songs they can't even understand. Real art is always under them in the charts. And well, mainstream music turned to shit, that's why.

@@sunitasinghal1429 Cardi B it straight fucking garbage and that's fact. Not opinion. Taste got nothing to do with it. Only different it every generation change , good or bad but than this generation of hip hop it staight garbage. Make dumb ass music with autotune.
@vitalixy35786 жыл бұрын
@@sunitasinghal1429 I agree on the fact that you shouldn't force your opinion on others. But when its about lil pump and all that crap. They talk about pussies that taste like fucking skittles ? They always talk about drugs, sex and money. Those subjects are usually what shitty people like and listen to all the time. I'm not saying that all lyrics about these stuff are bad or that everyone who is listening to this is a bad person. But when all they talk about is how they fuck bitches everyday and they are "the best" is pretty shitty. I see it everyday at school, people listening to those "lil shits" always end up being complete assholes. Those lyrics are filling up their heads.

What do you mean by "the year"? It's definitely the album of the whole century. Strictly no other artist can put such energy, dedication, and strength in an album. No other artist ever had an album so meaningful, powerful and... Somehow painful. There's the next levem magic here. Definitely

LInkin Park saved my life after the loss of my little sister in July 2014. If not for thier music I too would have died, then losing Chester so close to my sisters 3rd angelversay sent me into a tailspin 6 months of PTSD. I still miss them both more than words can ever say. And then the 4th yr angelversay of my sisters loss I was finally coming to peace with it, still missing her and Chaz like crazy, only to find out that I had cancer in Sept. 2018. It never ends........
