This video is actually super interesting. Obviously, the iPhone beat the Nothing phone in more scenarios, but by how much, and if you had the phone without the other to compare, would you notice? I honestly didn't think phone 1 would win at anything, so shame on Apple for getting beat (even once) by a phone which has literally every reason to loose against it. The phone 1 is a pre-release unit, with unreleased software, and is already £650 cheaper. You could buy a phone for you, a phone for your friend, buy the earphones for you, and for your friend, and still have £53 remaining to spend on snacks whislt you wait the phone to arrive, for the same price as getting the iPhone in the video. Clearly the real winner is the phone 1 in this respect.

Exactly that's my opinion too...i myself bought nothing phone 1 and using it currently and didn't face any issues so far..How much performance do a casual everyday user need? do they really utilise the full power of iphone processor ? i think Nothing does a great job at price segment and also provides same build quality as iphone.. Imagine what Nothing could do if they make phone at same price as apple?? that's crazy to even think

Nothing definitely Performed Very good. Considering it's a Flagship Chip VS a successor of 855 (778G+). Carl promised "Fast and Smooth Android" and indeed delivered it. Nice start, nice video too. Feels good after coming back after a long time. To most of the people who are confused that whether it's using 778G or 7778G+ , then do note that : It's using *778G+*. Also if it would've came with 778G , Then 3 years of OS updates would not be there. 778G have Android 11 based VENDOR. (OEMs can give it maximum upto Android 14) 778G+ have Android 12 based VENDOR. ( OEMs can give it maximum upto Android 15) Note: the OEM part might not be true. But, the 778G+ sports the modern Android12 based VENDOR.

Pretty dire RAM management and hopefully a software update can fix it as it would be a deal-breaker for me. I expected Nothing1 to get hammered at anything intensive and it was. Not interested in flashing strobes so Nothing1 is of little interest at the price as in Europe there are some very good option with better performance. Easy pass for me.

I mean you've got about half a week of watching reviews and stuff before the public release (not MAJOR public release, that comes a little later IIRC) Plus there's a 12GB RAM 256GB ROM variant coming soon (later before the end of year? Who knows). But remember, the reviews models of this device literally JUST came out, probably doesn't even have a software update yet.

Nothing phone. Because if it came down to it I'd wait for the Pixel 7. The Nothing 1 has features in a phone that I've wanted for a very long time. Plus I really like the brand. Just keep in mind the phone barely released, it hasn't even had a software update yet. And there's another variant releasing soon.
