You can use magsafe cases with it, will not cause issues to the device itself. I know a few people using magsafe with this. I personally do not use any case on any of my phones usually.

@@drewlipps has running it caseless been an issue? Some people say it gets quite slippery like on the side rails, and that the back glass gets smudgy easily.

@@thisiskret it is a slippery device for sure. Putting it on a solid surface for example, it’ll slide. I usually don’t use a case on any of my phones though so I’m use to it but if you’re concerned about potentially damaging the device then I’d recommend some of the clear cases so you can still see not just glyphs but the design of the phone which is what really stands out the most about this device.

@@drewlipps Thanks for the info! I am particularly anti-case cause I hate how clear cases feel, yellowen and ruin gesture controls like swiping from the side when the bezel is raised. Will take extra care!

That's interesting you reach for the np2 over other phones. I have the s23 ultra and hate the software and how big it is. I love pixel's software. Maybe the np bridges these two Can I ask why you reach for the nothing phone over other devices?

To that exact point honestly. Their software has been excellent. Even on the NP2a for example, while they went with a Meditek chipset, their optimized software experience makes the device feel buttery smooth always. Plus no bloat, no ads, etc.. It's excellent. I love that you can get the pixel experience but with better hardware with Nothing phones. Also if you don't like the NothingOS, Nothing gives you the option at setup to just go completely stock android which I wish Samsung / others would do as well versus forcing their skinned versions of android onto consumers.

What phone do you recommend for this price range? I've currently got a oneplus 8T and looking for something new!

That's a tough one for sure, there's a handful of good devices right now to select. OnePlus 12 with trade in you can find a good deal possibly with OnePlus and if you have EDU discount, even better. Otherwise the Pixel 8a is solid if you want a truly stock experience/less bloat. The Nothing Phone 2a Plus dropping August 7th may be a good option depending on your carrier / connectivity. The Nothing Phone 2 unfortunately is a bit dated now and while still getting updates, hard for me to recommend to many right now.

I am curious. Isnt the Nothing Phone 2 a slightly worse but way cheaper IPhone 14/15(pro max)?

If in the US I'd say get this just simply because there's more band support and I've had more consistent / better connectivity overall. If in other markets though the 2a is probably best.

OnePlus 12 by far. Newer Snapdragon, better performance overall. Better display, better cameras, includes faster charging brick in box, etc.. Way better buy.

@@Ikhlashasib10 in that case it's tough. I like both but personally I'd probably still go with the OnePlus. A lot of value packed in that device for the price.

Your video doesn't give the impression of a person whos review could be trusted. Being invited by and "hanging out" with fanboys and makers of the device is a sure fire way of creating very biased opinions and being unduly influenced.

Wasn't invited, I paid for the entire trip myself. Nothing lives up to the name lol they paid for absolutely nothing here and I also bought the phone with my own money.
