Credits due where credits due. Dear Sir, it was your video that inspired me to buy the K1600B almost 2 years ago now. This Motorcycle is all that you say it is and more. Each time I return from a ride I’m left with an overwhelming feeling of luxury and opulence. It’s a wonderful getaway from the mental stresses which involve my profession, Commanding a Jumbo. The two are actually quite similar in that they are both the pinnacle of human endeavour/ engineering and dare I say it..... dreams. So thank you for your great and in-depth reviews. Leben sie wohl, und tchuss. Tibor

NothingToProve Good Evening Scott. Riding motorcycles demands great discipline and self restraint. I’m guessing you wore a uniform once and that helped forge the person you’ve become. Your calm and collected manner forms as an education to younger riders. So your videos have a double message. May you continue to make these videos for many years to come. I’ve searched for you on patreon / PayPal... but alas was unable to find you. Take care and ride safe. Best T

Good job on your review. I own one here in U.S .The cruise mode does feel like riding on air.I owned both f6b and new gen goldwing .I prefer this BMW against the wing.Much sporty and suspension are better Of course the power is strong.I will say the wing is no slouch.It makes decent power and they are more reliable. However I ended up eventually with this bmw 1600b .

TODAY I just traded in my 2017 Harley Ultra CVO for a 2019 K1600 B from San Diego BMW. First test rode this bike over a year ago and I just could not get the ride out of my head. So when BMW offered ZERO PERCENT financing for 60 months, the Harley and the 5.99% rate I was paying was kicked to the curb. Rode my first 126 miles after I left the dealer and I am BLOWN AWAY at the ride, power, torque, handling and technology of this bike. I am 60 years old and have ridden and owned a shitload of bikes, including 11 Harley’s ......not looking back..

Lou Dog road one of these and a 1260 GS Adventure. Ending up getting an adventure. Both great bikes, GS was just more fun. Not faster, but felt like it if that makes sense. Came over from Harley too. Love HD bikes, but they’re pricing themselves out of a lot of buys.

Your style is just growing on me. Just loving it. You just got one more subscriber. On a side note I think that the GS 1250/1200 has become more road biased than in the past don’t you think that also gives these tourers a strong competition. What’s your take on that ? Regards
@NothingToProve6 жыл бұрын
Hi Rajesh, the big adventure bikes have always been road biased. Simply because 90% of the people only ride them on the street. It's really the 10% rule that the OEM's have to accommodate with the big adventure bikes. I know quite a few BMW GS riders that never go off road...or only do so for say 10 km per year and the other 10,000 km on road. Greetings from Germany

Sorry Roberto, probably not. GW's don't sell well here in Germany so I won't see one as a demo bike. :(
@lawnranger34324 жыл бұрын
Roberto,.......I have not owned the 1600 B, but this past spring I traded my 1600 gtl for a 2019 Gold Wing DCT tour. First thing I noticed is the BMW has a lot more power and has quicker steering. The GW is far more stable than my GTL was on freeway riding. Even though the GW weighs more than the k1600, low speed handling is a lot better on the GW. Comfort on both was pretty much equal for me. Brakes are excellent on both bikes. The Dual Clutch Transmission on the GW is a game changer. huge plus for me. The K1600 is a sportier ride than the GW. Overall, I would by another K1600 in a heartbeat, but I am not sure I would give up the Wing. I feel the K1600 is more fun to ride, but to each his own. Only you can make the decision which is best for you.

I would have the GTL in a heartbeat but not this , sorry just not my taste, shame you can't test the wing, I have and with DCT it is amazing. In USA I would go wing tourer, here GTL, to me the BMW has the handling edge. Have you tested the K1600 GTL as I can't find it on your channel, if not , hopefully you will. Stay safe and excellent review as always. :)

To all out there who are use to a heavy or semi heavy bikes, please ride one. I have been on a bike for 30 years. This is the first machine that makes me not wanting to get off !!!!! Super addiction. Once you start going, you DO NOT feel the weight. The power and comfort is like no other....period. Going from zero to 60 reminds me watching a jet taking off. Warning, this beast should not be ridden as a FIRST bike !!!! Just do not do it.

@@NothingToProve You can also do it using an Osmo Pocket. Nice review.
@NothingToProve5 жыл бұрын
@@dpourkesali Yes, I have an Osmo Pocket but the problem is that when you turn your head more than 90° to the left or right it looses the fact tracking. Then I have to stop and walk back up to it, hit recenter and start again. I tried it in two of my videos and I never used any of the footage from it because it kept getting lost...it was a pain and made shooting very frustrating and very time consuming. So I won't do that again.

@NothingToProve5 жыл бұрын
Hi Slobodan, this is definitely not a first bike. I cannot recommend this for any body as their first bike. It is just way too big and way too heavy for a first bike. This bike even has reverse, any bike that has that tells you that I'm big, I'm heavy and in fact I'll help you back up. LOL!
@dougfitch36494 жыл бұрын
Hi Slobodan, I agree with the other guys. I think a smaller , lighter motorcycle would be more fun and easier to deal with. A giant bike hads its advantages but small bikes have their own advantages too! Have fun and be safe!

Sorry, I have not ridden the FJR as of yet, well it's been almost 2 decades ago, when it first came out, so I can't give you a fair comparison. Although this is in the touring category and the FJR in the sport/touring, so the FJR is lighter and faster, more nimble...etc. Ride safe, Scott

Hi Brian, well, they are two different bikes aimed at two different riders. One pure laid back touring and the other, lighter and a little more sport, if one can call the RT sporty.

I own a 2018 RT. Just for shits and giggles, I test drove a K16B today. The only thing I didn't like about this motorcycle was the view from the rear view mirrors. Sort of a strange view of what's going on behind you. Otherwise, this bike gives a whole new meaning to plush and cushy. Not a canyon carver, but literally a silky beast on the highway. BTW, I've also test driven a new GoldWing. No comparison. Not even close.

Zunaid Kajee Totally In ❤️ w/ this Beemer. Crazy acceleration ! Sports cars on highway / freeway get taken to school ! Hahaha 😂 in the CANYONS .. this bike is unbelievable , automatically increases your own skill level by 30% due to its handling & traction capabilities. I owned a BMW 318i in the ‘80’s. One thing is that the Germans have perfected handling & traction on their vehicles very well ☝️ prior to my last test ride of the GW ... I went on a group ride at the Long Beach Progressive Motorcycle Show in Long Beach Ca. I rode a white full dresser DCT. I fell in ❤️ with it ... and was awed by the acceleration also ! I said , “ this is the bike I want ! “ Until ... I test rode the k1600b !! To ME ... it was night & Day ! I had NO question my clear choice was going to be the BMW. The GW is still a fine motorcycle. The audio is a blast ! Way better than the Beemer . GW BAGS are smaller though . I’m sure the reliability factor goes to the GW. The Beemer rides wayyyy smoother though ! Creamy smooth ride ! You sit “ higher “ atop the GW. “ lower “ in the beemers cock pit. Looking back ... the DCT model I realize now would have been a mistake for me personally. I need a CLUTCH !! So much more fun ! Plus ... a clutch is going to offer you WAY BETTER HANDLING ☝️ ( many times using the friction zone is very advantageous , you are in COMPLETE control of your motorcycle. NOT SO w/ an automatic transmission. If you hurry .... BMW is offering a HUGE incentive right now ONLY on 2018 models . O % Down O % APR ! For 5 yrs ! Must have at least 700 Fico Score Good luck 👍 on you’re choice You’re gonna be happy either way 🤙
