There one other thing that comes into play here in the late summer of 2022 - I walked into my dealership and they had these in stock and ready to deliver. I was looking for a Japanese bike, but they are like unicorns this summer. Unless you pre-ordered one last winter, there just haven't been many to choose from. For my Son's first bike, this has been outstanding.

I owned a 2020 benelli leoncino 500, which is built in China and it was a brilliant bike done 35,000km on it and never had a problem, Chinese aren't as bad as they used to be, another 5-10yers I guarantee there going to take over, sure the Honda cb500x is made in Thailand like most bikes from big manufacturers.

Thanks for reviewing more of "unknown" models. Personally, I would still pay a thousand more and get a SV650 (or some other from that budget list, reliables), having more fun and less weight.
@WatchMatt3 жыл бұрын
Fully agree. The SV is overall a better choice at a very comparable price. And since a 650 bike is probably gonna be a first one and definitely not the last, easy of reselling should factor in as well, which the SV got in spades.
@RNvidcast3 жыл бұрын
Yeah totally agree, nowhere near cheap enough for a spec this bad and usual Chinese build quality.

I actually just bought one of the adventure versions of this bike. I have owned a dozen bikes over the last 25 years and can tell you that these chinese bikes are nothing like they were 20 years ago. The same motor in this is in KTMs and Kawasakis. Paying for a name can sometimes mean better quality but when the name brands outsource to these guys and all they do is throw different names in the same bike, I would rather save some. I saved over 4 grand getting one of these i stead of the kawasaki and couldnt be happier. Runs like a top and will do 100 mph all day long which will get you a ticket in every state lol

In Australia the CFMoto 650NK is about AU$6K cheaper than a Kawasaki Z650 . A new CFMoto 650NK costs you about AU$6.5K and a new Kawasaki Z650 about AU$12.5K. Of course the z650 is superior BUT, in my opinion, the CFMoto is half price, and it's not that bad.
@ahmedzraika27402 жыл бұрын
Totally agree mate, I have the 2020 650nk , and I love itC it’s budget friendly and has more than enough power plus I can’t justify paying 13k for a name brand bike with a few extra hp
@pedox77853 жыл бұрын
In China, the price difference between 650NK and Z650 is nearly doubled, so Chinese people choose CFMOTO as a cost-effective choice. I am very happy that friends all over the world can appreciate the charm of CFMOTO. Of course, it still needs more time to grow.

Yeah in the current market for middleweight/beginner naked bike this is pushed out by the other brands that do cost a bit more but deliver a lot more. If this was 4K it might be a nicer idea but even still I would pass on it. I think a bit too much was left on the table in development of this bike. I hope they can improve but for now I doubt they will make a lot of waves with this bike on the market. I appreciate the feature and you giving it a fair go. Interesting music choice at the end there Scott :)

Good honest review. I can not see a reason in the world to buy that bike. If you have limited cash, buy a used Z650 or SV650. I find it odd that it has a higher compression ratio but less power and torque than the Kawasaki. That must be all about achieving Euro 5 certification with an inferior fuel injection system and other electronic engine management components.
@MercilessGuitar1512 жыл бұрын
Yep and also decreased reliability and long gevity.

I live in the U.S and I own a 2015 cfmoto 650nk here the specs read 65hp and 42ft/lbs of torque idk what you guy's over in europe have i guess the LAMS bike or whatever it is called but here in the states it's only a little less hp than the Kawasaki z650,Ninja 650 and the er6n so the power is great i have road both the Kawasaki's and my 650nk and you can't even tell them apart it's only a couple hp like 3hp i believe so idk.....
@i94yeh2p2 жыл бұрын
This is the best break-down I've seen of the CF Moto 650 compared to the others. You're going to pay more in gas, it's heavy, shifting is clunky, lower horsepower, suspension not great. You really get what you pay for, it really is a budget Chinese motorcycle but it's nice to see the quality is improving. Has to be better than Hyosung. I remember seeing a bunch of Hyosung riders riding around with an error code on the dash with the speedometer not even working and that was the least of the problems.

So in NZ we can get the CFMoto 650K for $7,890 and $11,995 for the Kawasaki Z650 that he references and because the depower the Kawasaki for the LAMS market here both bikes provide more or less the same power. What's the value proposition now?
@NothingToProve2 жыл бұрын
Sounds like the NZ Govt. is charging a huge import tax amount for the Japanese bikes and not doing the same for the Chinese bikes. Hmm...should be the other way around considering the current conflicts going on right now with these authoritarian govts. Here in Germany the Z650 is just 1k more than this and I'll pay the 1k more cause it's well worth it in just resale value alone, little alone fit & finish, refinement, part availability...etc. But for you, 4k more...hmm, yea na. take care down there, enjoy your summer, it's gettin' cold up here now, 😥

Thanks so much for the video! Just got a 22. I was certainly skeptical, but I couldn't pass it up, as the dealer near me was blowing out the new old stock at 3,999 usd. My other bike is a 02 Kawasaki Vulcan 750. I just wanted something sporty to raise hell with on my way to work. The cfmoto 650nk seemed it might fit the bill. It has 6 less hp than the vulcan, but a couple pounds lighter (seriously only a couple pounds lighter than the vulcan) After cruising around at low speeds for 100s of miles for break-in. I am a little bit saddened to say that the old Kaw is a good bit quicker. 😢 and maybe even more stable at high speeds. Don't know how it happens that an, almost chopper, designed in 1986, is more stable (feeling) at speed, than a 2022 "sport bike"

I don‘t know if the prices for this at the time the video came out were this high or they are just in the area the review was made. Since I found out about this brand a couple weeks back and started researching this bike, I learned the MSRP on the Cf Moto website is 5500€ and also you can find several dealers throughout Germany who sell it for 4995€. Next week I have an appointment to test drive it, I‘m excited. Some dealerships even sell the showroom and test drive units for 3900 with only a couple hundred km. So that‘s definitely a steal…

Todays price of the same bike a 2022 is only $6160aud here in Australia , so yes you are being screwed on price over there as that is only 3808 euro ! over 50% over priced ! Mine has done 70k and with regular maintaince has not missed a beat , still going strong and de-restricted to 70+ hp so is no slouch . I also changed the brake pads to quality Australian ones and what a huge difference !!! better feel and no horrible black dust everywhere !
