The freezing columns are awesome! I go nuts if I would have to scroll back and forth all the time just to check the first column ,so I am more than grateful that Notion has this option.

Love this! How did you make the Themes database so pretty? The one shown at 1:45

Hi! I am using text properties as my headers. You can see how to do it in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqrEdparqpxgjbc Let me know if that's what you were looking for!

The new tab feature to open up another Notion page is only available on the Desktop app. I should have mentioned that in the video. 🤦♀️ Are you using an iPad or the web version of Notion? If so, that might be the issue! Thanks so much for watching!

I am using it on the desktop. I have created a clumsy work around until I can get this figured out! Thank you for taking the time to respond! @@KalynBrookeCo

Oh, that's interesting! I have not yet run into the tabs not showing on the desktop app yet. Please let me know if you do end up figuring it out! You could also try right clicking on a page that you want to open. Sometimes a menu will pop up with the option to open it up in another tab.

I love your videos! How is it possible to make one column wider than the other (one third vs. two third like you have it in your dashboard)? When I create columns, they always divide evenly and become the same size.
@KalynBrookeCo Жыл бұрын
Yes! All you have to do is hover in between the columns. When you see a grey dividing line appear, you can drag that column wider or shorter, depending on what you want. It will probably be easiest to do that on a desktop computer though. Thanks so much for watching and stopping by!

Hi, thank you for this video! It's very useful. One question, is the multiple database views a paid feature? It doesn't show me the database options like your when I try to add another database.
@KalynBrookeCo27 күн бұрын
You're most welcome! The multiple DB views are not a paid feature, but it only works if the DB is a "linked" DB. So the DB can't be the original. But if you use the "/linked view of a database" block and choose a DB to show, you can then add new tabs from various DB sources!

To add a view of a different database, I'm not sure why you're getting a window that gives you the option to select a datasource, but when I click add new view, that option doesn't come up, and I can only see ways to view the data in the current database. I looked around on Reddit and other forums and see people saying it's not possible, so now I'm esp. intrigued. How the heck did you do that?
@KalynBrookeCo Жыл бұрын
It's magic! 😆 Okay, not really. But the secret (which I should have mentioned in this video) is you can only do this with a Linked View of a Database, not the original database. So anytime you embed the database in another Notion page, you'll be able to choose other database sources to go with it. Hope that helps!
