I've needed this for a while so I just created a new page where it collects all my task views from different projects. But Notion Home is so much better!!! Looking forward to getting the access.

This is really not the direction in which Notion should develop ... We would very much welcome elements such as "Recently visited" or a database aggregator functionality if they were blocks that could be integrated into our own dashboards. And not a preconfigured, separate dashboard. That's what tools like Evernote do, but that's not Notion's concept, is it? Hopefully this is just a temporary workaround and not Notion's new direction. In our opinion, the most important thing now would be access control in databases -- as long as we don't have that, we can't implement proper data modeling with Notion. Then databases in Notion will remain crippled forever. Even for home users who might want to share selected categories of notes, contacts, tasks, projects, documents, etc. with family members. Not to mention team and enterprise-level users, whom Notion has recently been primarily targeting. The problem is not just the tasks. We can't seriously split every database into a dozen sub-databases just as a workaround for the inadequate rights management?!

Well I don’t think this is a new strategy - they are just trying to supplement their offer for power users and architects with solutions that work out of the box. I also prefer the building blocks but as long as they still come, I am fine with lowering the barrier of entry for other users 💪🏻

@@mfreihaendig That's right. As long as we aren't forced to use "Home", but get the same functionality as building blocks at some point, everything is fine. A faster setup for newcomers is certainly a help, the new sprint and project templates last year were already heading in a similar direction.

Does it only show for some and not others? I checked for updates and it says I'm on v3.2.1 and it's up to date. But there's no Home button. 🤔 (EDIT) Just saw it's only for Teamworking members for now. Thanks for the info!

We use for tasks a person-database to assign people to the task. Because not everyone who is responsible for a task, has a Notion account. And if someone leaves the company and the account gets deleted, the assigned person is lost. If you use a linked person database, it is not lost. So I think we will not be able to use the combined task feature in the home, because you need notion accounts for the tasks.

We also use a person's database for a similar reason, but also because it means you can have a "profile" template in that database which acts like each person's individual home and on top of tasks, it also shows their related projects, documents, roles, etc of people who were in the role previously or those who don't use notion at all, but are product owners or SMEs of the stuff we work on. It's been awesome so far but it's bittersweet to see all these new Notion account based features coming out and not being able to use them to their full potential 🙃

Yeah makes sense - although you also lose the ability to set me filters then. I get your approach though, hopefully we get a more exposed option setting soon 😇

also, if a responsible person could be a group of people would be great. e.g., if a service team is responsible for 5 daily tasks, this task should be marked done for all members of the service team, once any member marked this task as done. currently, we have to put it all members of the team manually

you need nore light in your videos when its on your face and it is fullly on the screen , the effect you r trying to go for is cool but it needs more light bc it makes it very hard to see you even with full screen brightness on a oled laptop screen . just a video tip, i love your videos btw,

Home was never supposed to be launched for single-player workspaces in the first place so you would need two or more members in your workspace to have this feature. We understand that this feature may not be as valuable for personal workspaces, and we value any feedback we receive. Hi @Sumanthbhee , we have a total of 5 companies, out of which 4 companies have subscribed to the business plan with 25 workspaces, while the remaining one is on the enterprise plan. We have not yet seen the feature for business plan workspaces on any of our subscribed accounts, but it is available on the enterprise plan. It seems like the enterprise plan is being prioritized over others, which appears to be a strange shady sales/marketing tactic
