Why do you show William Henry Vanderbilt as Alva's husband - he was her Father-in-law? (the one who doubled the Commodore's fortune to $200 million). Her husband was William Kissam Vanderbilt - shown with his daughter in the wedding photo of Consuelo.

Very good video. Although I have a question - Is it possible that Mr. Russell is a hybrid of Vanderbilt and Carnagie? Because the workers at the steel plant during the strike bear an awful resemblance to the actual facts (although in real life some workers were killed while Carnagie was in Scotland) and why isn't a Vanderbilt credited with the creation of the Met?

I've known about some of these people in American history but wasn't aware of so many of the characters being so significant to this amazing show!! Now im already feeling more sorry for Gladys 'Russel'... Oh and I hope Larry and Marian will be married eventually!
