I thought the "Doll Eyes" add-on was pretty good, because if you haven't realized; every time you vault through a pallet or a window, your dash attack timer resets completely as if you just started it. Knowing their exact locations (for those who hasn't mastered the map) could be really useful to use those obstructions to advantage and just have an immensively large dash! :0

sadly with the licensing situation we’ll never get og krueger, i do wish they’d revisit & give him voicelines though 😭 even small ones like “remember me” when he emerges from generators, “you’re my number one” when interacting with the obsession, “how’s that for a wet dream” when a survivor steps in a blood pool 😭 the potential is there. why the devs barely ever touch the nightmare chapter is beyond me, even freddy’s model was never updated when quentin’s was and his eyes are still glued stuck. looks so weird. AND for some reason his sweater is red & black instead of red & green…just sad all around 😔

I knew there was hope for Chucky when I saw Sadako was the only Short Killer, but I wasn't holding my breath. They did such a great job with him! I love that Charles Lee Ray is his Stand for the purposes of hooking, and his dash going under pallets (and presumably over vaults) is probably what will make him as a Killer.

The implementation of voicelines which have profanity for Chucky shows that they're willing to have profanity in the game, so I see no reason why Freddy shouldn't get some voicelines of his own since hes so well known for his iconic voicelines, similar to Chucky.

What’s a cool detail is that you’re actually playing in first person from Chucky’s spirit’s perspective, it’s just he’s not visible all of the time. The Chucky doll is running in front of the camera so it gives the eye a good trick to think you’re in third person. The pick up animation best displays how the spirit model and doll model interact, when the spirit picks up the doll and the first person very clearly takes over. So clever, kudos to the dev and creative teams!

The voice lines are superb and add so much depth to the Chucky character overall while you play him. It's a lot of fun...but it genuinely got me thinking what a complete and utter missed opportunity it was for Behaviour to not bring in Robert Englund to do voice lines for Freddy. He's obviously far from the best killer in the game, but those voice lines would have helped make him one of the funnest to play. Here's hoping when and if they do a full Freddy overhaul, they bring Robert in and make a fully voiced Classic Freddy as premium skin for the occasion. Would be the easiest money Behaviour ever made.

Imo everything about him seems fine but his miss cooldown needs increased by a lot, it looked like peak save the best for last, almost no cooldown for missing with his power, being able to crawl under a pallet and down a survivor is a little crazy imo, also maybe his red stain needs increased to help see him, cause it dissipates in hidy ho anyways so when he’s out of his power you should be able to see where he is, he shouldn’t be good around pallets and mind games just for existing

@@EmporerAaron Completely agree. There are definitely some licenses that are much easier to acquire than others due to the creators being pretty open. Unfortunately, some creators just don't care to license out their characters, which can be a shame to some people like us who do want to see them in other areas of entertainment, like video games. Behavior has done a fairly good job at acquiring quite a few licensed characters though. Hopefully more people are willing to work with them to get their characters into the game! Chucky was definitely a surprise to me because I thought he might be a difficult license to acquire.

At first I thought this was third person, however the camera zoom is the same as 1st person perspective, I don't think it's third person, I think it's 2nd person, where the spirit is being used as the main avatar, and chucky is being followed by the spirit, effectively keeping it 1st person. It's a clever trick. At least that is how it looks to me.

immediately two builds spring to mind: 1) friends til the end, furtive chase, make your choice, and nemesis; and 2) two can play, plaything, pentimento, and maybe something else. i kinda want them to up the total totem count to 6 instead of 5; these hex builds could get pretty spicy if they do.

i literally had an entire Chucky concept where he would be able to teleport across the map to different dolls (with a cool down period) and you can hear the crackle of lightning and a doll would start freaking tf out and he would have a stalk pounce. it was so weird

I'm a little sad that Adult Andy wasn't a survivor. He was my favorite character in the most recent Chucky movie (I think? Idk if they released any more since) and I would've loved playing as him

The original creator decided to release a TV series that has adult Andy involved pretty majorly, so it's not a surprise that they wouldn't want to have him trapped in the fog forever. It's fine for Chucky himself to be in the fog because he found a way to split his soul into multiple dolls in Cult of Chucky, so it could be one of those.

Wouldve been nice to have adult andy for a survivor that came with chucky along with interactive voicelines to chucky and vice versa with unique countering perks to him but im not complaining i didnt think the doll killer himself would be possible in this game alone and now that he is here i am glad. I also heard that the skin for chucky is an ultra rare character skin where you can be the tiffany doll and they got the person who voices tiffany as well i look forward to seeing her in the game

well i was wrong, i thought they'd never put chucky in because he's too short to see over the most basic loop and couldn't carry people, but they gave him third person and a ghost-thing that afaik he never had in the movies. Unfortunately, none of his perks are "must haves" and that hex is super underpowered for the fact that it's both a hex that can be destroyed AND needs you to to satisfy conditions to activate it.

Hex two can play will work wonders with hex pentimento After it activates they either cleanse the two can play totem giving you a pentimento stack, or they get blinded everytime they stun you And on top of that, as far as i've seen, two can play can reactivate as long as there are still dull totems left, even after having been cleansed once or twice

Chucky is great in so many ways! 1) It means that any comment on any IP is irrelevant. People and some BHVR PR have said that Chucky was too small and that he wouldn’t fit in DBD. Seeing him basically means that YOU MUST NECER TAKE ANYONE SERIOUSLY when discussing who can and cannot enter DBD. After all, creativity can always be used to make anybody fit! It’s not like Nemesis is a good representation of his RE self via gameplay, but the fact they are here is enough to make us happy. 2) He’s a 3rd person killer! This is so cool and an advantage by all means! It also makes me wonder if the devs could make a 1st person FREE perk for survivors. Granted that a perk like that as survivor would be a nerf by all means, but it would be fun for immersion none the less!

As a Nemesis main/enjoyer - he is VERY good representation. Especially RE3Remake. However, it genuinely feels that they half-asses him, and gave his power (grabbing survivors and tossing them at others) to Wesker instead (because BHVR could not code it at the time). Nemesis plays with his food, A LOT. So, him hitting survivors 3 times is 100% immersive and authentic. Likewise, him using tentacles A LOT is similar to RE3Remake where Nemesis’s 2nd most used move is tentacle drag (and 1st is his iconic cross). So, honestly, they NAILED him. I would even go as far as that that Nemesis’s gameplay loop in DbD is more accurate than the one from RE:Resistance. BUT, and that is a BIG BUT… his tentacle should latch and pull survivors closer, not merely slap them. That is the only oversight (for a base Nemesis, that is). You can make an argument that he needs weapons/rocket launcher. But, honestly, killer having 3-5 powers at once is a bit too much for DbD game design. Nemesis (RE3 Remake one) is represented OK, in all honesty
