I saw that look and body language by Drew Allar on ND's penultimate drive as well. I even said to my wife that he looks like a guy who has already lost, not a guy eager to see a stop and get a chance to win it. It wasn't even nervousness, that was despair, and once it kicked in he was done. You don't just flip that switch back to confidence and suddenly play with a chip again. Glad someone else noticed that.

I was really worried about ND tonight because of all the injuries we have on both sides of the ball. We lost another starter tonight. With Marcus Freeman coaching this year it shows that all 1st 2nd and so on strings can step up and play ball.

The BEST teams average 1 championship every 20 years with the exception of Alabama because of the 2010s. Any coach who takes their team to the semi finals should not be fired. Especially in this era of college football. Franklin, Ryan Day, it’s all ridiculous commentary from delusional fans. Sorry you lost but Franklin doesn’t control Allar throwing a bad pass or a blown coverage. Franklin is a great coach and from what I can see is all about playing the game the right way and respecting your opponents. I’m not even a Penn State fan, I was rooting for Notre Dame. You fire Franklin and half the starting roster will leave. It will take years of culture building with a new coach to get back to the semi finals. You can’t buy culture from the transfer portal. Firing Franklin will guarantee an off season national championship and zero in season national championships.
