Another wonderful trip to Paris for me! Only an hour 😢. By the way, February 2nd is the Feast Day of the Presentation of our Lord in the Temple, and is also the day this year when throats are blessed with crossed candles under the chin. Unlit. Really. It's also known as Candlemas, a sort of celebration of the end of winter. (We hope!) This year the feast day of St. Blaise is celebrated on the 2nd instead of the 3rd, and it's the day throats are blessed in his honor.

I have said Mass. few times at the altar of the Lady Chapel. Is the new shrine for the Crown of Thorns there? I hope to get back to Paris and beloved Notre Dame soon! The whiteness and brightness delight me!

Piscina is the term for the wash basin which is used to clean liturgical items. The French term I don't know. The drain leads to the ground, and not the regular sewer system. This drain is called a sacrarium. Again, I don't know what the French term is, but every Catholic church has one. Yes, I'm annoyingly Catholic! Let me know if you want me to go on and on... 😊
