Bonjour, Bonjour. 💙 🤍 ❤️ I do hope I said that correctly. (My high school French teacher told us that no one from our area would ever speak French properly.) 😢 Lovely video! I shared it with a friend who probably knew of all those names you mentioned, & could appreciate your knowledge. On your tours, do you have headsets for your guests that you can broadcast your speech for easier listening in crowded noisy spaces? (Similar to motorcycle helmet communication devices.) 🎉 💜

Claudine a photography tip for you. Consider getting a CPL filter for your iphone camera. They are designed to eliminate reflected light or glare. You can get filters that clip onto your iphone camera for around $70-$80 euros. Several companies sell these, consider moment lenses or Neewer lenses.

Great video! Very informative and much appreciated. It is possible that the small, shallow fountains/basins on the exterior walls of the side chapels might be/have been for cleansing the communion chalice and paten following a Eucharistic celebration at the altar in each chapel. They are supposed to be cleaned in a basin with a special drain emptying directly into the earth. I think this still would be the case in all Catholic and Anglican churches - not sure about the Orthodox churches.

I heard Saint Denis walked around holding his head, looking for a pharmacy to buy some Panadol....??? That's an example of a dad joke when your dad is God. "It all depends on who you get", exactly what Saint Denis said just before getting the biggest headache ever. I bet no one told Napolean he could not use his gimbal when he was pulling the crown out of the Pope's hands in 1804 !!! Thanks for braving the cold and checking in on the old girl, cheers from Australia. 🦘👽😉

Your passion for this architecture and history is evident by your COMPREHENSIVE photography and narration. THANK YOU. This is a LOVELY introduction to this 65 yr old man who's never traveled beyond the continental United States. I've recently decided to start taking youtube (and other media) "trips" to see things, places and people that I'll never see, physically. To discover your video early in my adventures has set the bar very high. Your speaking voice is so pleasant. Your descriptions are vivid and detailed. As I said before, your passion is more than evident, it's infectious. I got caught up in enjoying your tour almost as if I were actually standing there. The only disappointment is in my perspective in that it is 2 dimensional. (I relate the feeling as to when I had the privilege and pleasure to hike up to the top of the cliffs along the Napali Coastline on Kauai. I can TELL you about it and show you my photographs, but it is impossible for you to FEEL the true majesty without actually being there.) So again, THANK YOU. You have brought me as close to actually standing there as is possible. Where to next?

I have been watching all of your videos for the past year with great interest. However, we've gotten close to the finish line and you have not once turned around 180 degrees to look at the organ! (And the 3rd rose window...) The organ has been my main focus of interest since the fire, but I don't expect everyone to take such an interest in it. You may even hate organ music, but it truly is something to behold!

Hi Helena, thank you so much for watching. Since this was only the second video from inside the cathedral it was also a unique theme that covered the northern chapels. I don't "hate" organ music and will share the rose windows and organ in the upcoming weeks. I have talked many times about organ restoration in the past weekly videos. Will share more soon :)
