Penn State's offense is 10x better then our offense from a skill standpoint, but this Notre Dame team has more grit and heart then I've seen out of any team in my lifetime.. this should go down as an all-time classic if were lucky !

Notre Dame will need to get a little creative with the offensive play-calling this time around, as they were a bit too conservative against UGA. That said, ND has more than enough horses, especially on the defensive side, to keep this thing close and perhaps squeak out the victory. I don't expect either team to wreck the other. It's just going to come down to whichever team can out physical the other at the line of scrimmage and control the tempo of the game.

The concerning thing isn’t PSU’s D-Line, imo. Even with Carter out the majority of the game, they still crippled BSU’s rushing attack. However, their secondary IS concerning. If ND is able to adapt and score through the air well then they’ll do well on offense.

I'm worried that if Riley gets behind against Penns secondary that it build momentum for them all around. It's nice that this ND team has heart and physicality for 4 quarters or id be more worried. Leonard has been good at taking what they get but the red zone offense over all needs to step up and punch it in more and take some weight off the defense.

The biggest issue for ND is Riley Lenord and the running backs. All ND is is special teams and defense. The running backs had 76 total yards not named Lenord and a grand total of 90 yards passing. Your number 1 WR possibly out. Its gonna be an up hill climb for yall to generate some offense. PSU has 19 ints this year ...ND has 6. Its not like ND was playing big time opponents this year. ND didn’t have any chunk plays which makes you think the offense did nothing. They wore them down and killed the clock in the 4th. Why would you be surprised if Penn State can do what Georgia did? Our defense is better, especially when they don’t have to worry about a burner on the outside. We held Ohio State to 20 points without Dani Dennis-Sutton. Assuming Abdul Carter is healthy enough, we are more than capable of doing what Georgia did to ND’s offense.

Idk 🤷‍♂️ two very good teams again was surprised Notre dame opened -.1.5 vs Georgia and most people looked at that said dogs +points got on it fast with in the hour went to Georgia-1.5 for most of the week until about 33 hours before kick off went to Irish -1.5 and I felt it was right or should of been a pick’em same with psu who is a great team handicappers should of set it as PK and then let the market adjust accordingly when the cash comes in. Just an option.

@@NYCYardie there is a not so subtle distinction between “faced” and “”beat.” And in my own experience, facing beasts, even if you lose can make you stronger. I am not a fan of ND, Georgia, PSU, Oregon or Ohio State, but in my opinion Ohio State and Oregon are the two biggest bears.

Notre Dame can't throw and hasn't faced an elite offense all year. They're more one-dimensional than Boise was this year. Penn State leans on them in this game. ND faced an overrated Indiana team at home and a Georgia squad that was 99th in rushing and completely dependent on the pass with their QB1 out for the year. SMU had all their players, as did Boise. And the Broncos had a better passing attack than ND this year.

After watching ND vs UGA it was clear ND was the more physical team especially ND’s Defense; I don’t think PSU fans are prepared for how good ND’s defense is (even with 5 starters out for the season with injuries) they can make you look bad in a hurry & win the game themselves
