Mr. Freeman, what a great answer and way to stay in the glory of the team (that you built). THIS IS TRUE LEADERSHIP. This also important topic could have been addressed in a later interview where it wouldn’t have taken away from what that entire team just accomplished. Time and place!

Respectfully, I think it is important to recognize that the game has a deep history of racism and he and all players stand on the shoulders of giants - pioneering black players and coaches who fought to make the game inclusive for all people. This is a real milestone and one that is damning by its lateness. Of course he is entitled to say whatever he would like, but I think it is important and would have been better to take a moment to recognize that history and the legacy of those players and coaches. If history teaches us one thing, we cannot move on by merely forgetting, lest we doom ourselves to repeat the errors of our judgement.

technically the report is incorrect, as there have been national championship games with black head coaches. The is that during that specific time period the NCAA and NAIA did not allow HBCUs to be members or play for those organizations.

That’s why you’re so happy you made this video and I’ve seen countless other white guys make videos so happy about it. The sec didn’t have a black coach until 2004 for a reason. That’s just for starters. It’s always been about race
@bobgert268414 күн бұрын
That’s exactly what they want us to believe. Rich vs poor, black vs white, right vs left etc…we need to unite instead of divide, I think his answer was perfect including all races because nowadays every race does have an equal shot to make it big and be successful because it’s based on merit not on skin color.

Segregation hasn’t been a thing since the 1960’s. Being a college football coach isn’t a white’s only job. If black people wanted to be college football coaches, then they could’ve been, but they either weren’t good enough or chose not to be one.
