I will argue and say that Jim Ross is arguably in the top 10 conversation as one of the greatest commentators of all time, and I'm not talking about wrestling, but in general. Thinking about it, Jim Ross new about a decent amount of how the matches would end, and even then he still made it seem like it was a live sporting event where you didn't know the outcome. He is a great commentator and made wrestling almost seem like a legit sport like basketball or football. He deserves to be in the broadcasting HOF.

Jim Ross and Jerry King were in the WWE what Pat Summerall and John Madden were to the NFL. Legendary commentating team whose voices instantly take you back in time to your childhood and/or some unforgettable match. Exceptional commentating can take a below-average-to-average match into a top card, main event match up. The individual commentating voice gift is rare. Putting two, rare, gifted individuals together is even more rare. Vince should have fined Jim Ross and not fire him. Terrible loss for the WWE.

Now, Jim was young in his early 20s, perhaps late teens. When he went to Georgia Championship wrestling after a stint in Oklahoma before joining Mid South Wrestling. I followed him for years before I enlisted in the military. I'm sure I left out some things because I didn't watch much wrestling at the time, but I did enjoy Gordon Solie when Georgia Championship Wrestling, along with a young Tony Schiavone. It was a great time, in my opinion, to watch wrestling at its best back then.

I was in the front row for the symposium, being awake for 26 hours straight after my flight was delayed 18 hours from London, it is still something I will never forget. I don't think anyone could've handled that situation any better than JR to be honest, it could've been alot "worse" or out of control maybe a better word. I'd love to see JR make a return as a ring announcer in WWE, and also think at one point this might happen. Everyone loves good ol' JR afteral. No one can call a match like he does. Even if he sometimes overreacts at some wrestling situations, it creates for excitement. I grew up with JR and King calling matches. They were such a good couple, as non of the two were unlikable or was trying to be better than the other. Much love to JR!

Vince fires people over the most trivial of bullshit. I remember hearing that Daniel Bryan was fired for spitting on Cena when he and a group of guys attacked Cena and doing something else (all a part of the show). This was all during a match. Afterwards somebody had a talk with him and said, "it happens, next time learn from your mistakes" and the Friday that same week, Vince called him up and fired him. I don't talk shit about Vince as much as a lot of people, but the guy is so indiscriminate when he fires people, no matter what the circumstances or how many years, the guy doesn't hesitate. I think he hired Daniel back after Cena lobbied for him. Firing a guy because you don't think he'll be an asset to you and the business or right for the company is one thing, but firing them for trivial shit like this is something else. I don't know why it bugs me as much as it does. I don't like that business philosophy. Somebody smart-ass dick is going to say, "he's Vince McMahon, he's been in business for many years, he knows what he's doing." His main competition, WCW folded because of what they did and didn't do, not because WWF out-wrestled them or out-entertained them. Everybody knows this,and this is coming from a WWF guy.

After all he’s years of service got booted for a stupid mistake and the way they fired him was embarrassing to treat him the way. if many of you don’t know he got fired live on raw and was not scripted or discussed with JR at all.
