My wife showed me The Room maybe 6 months into dating each other. She saw it in college and shared it with me maybe a year before The Disaster Artist came out. The movie is a staple in our relationship. Not a day goes by where we aren't telling each other that we'll be ready to go "in a few minutes bitch" or some other line from the movie. The cult around the movie also leads us to heckle pretty much everything we watch. We're always tying other media back to the room and get so much more enjoyment from things with the mindset that everything can be made fun of. We've been lucky enough to meet Tommy a few times and have been there to see Greg's movie when he premiered it at Central Cinema. The Room has made the world a better place! It's been far more impactful on our lives than any film that I can think of, hats off to Greg!

It's really good. The only thing that was weird was how obvious you could hear when a new reading session started. They clearly did not care too much to make the setup sound the same each time.

I have been a Puppet Master fan since I was a little kid growing up watching the early films. At 12 I saw Retro Puppet Master and had the biggest crush on Greg but no one knew who he was at the time. Fast forward to my early 20's and a friend had me watch the Rifftrax version of The Room. I was beyond excited to realize that young Andre Toulon was in this random bad movie that was a cult classic. Now in my thirties I'm so glad Greg is still around, he's still so amazing and I respect his view on not taking yourself too seriously.

Greg is definitely a real O&A fan. I literally just listened to his interview on O&A from 2014 and he said he was a fan back then. Now, he’s telling Sam that he remembers when he met him in 2014. No way he would remember Sam from one interaction back then without actually knowing who he is.

Greg shouldn’t underplay his part. His warmth and kindness and fun is part of what makes everyone love The Room.

I’m a 18 years old fan of the room, to answer Greg’s question, I’m just a misfit. Tommy is weird so I was draw to him, the backstory was weird so I was drawn to it. I don’t know any other fans my age here (I’m Italian btw) but there is nothing really cool about the room, it’s just a weird thing for… weird people I guess??? Edit: about how I found out about the room: a person compared Nicolas Winding Refn’s voice (who I’d previously found out from Mads Mikkelsen) to Tommy Wiseau’s, I didn’t know who this Tommy guy was, I looked him up and I was as confused as it gets

Neil Breen having a cameo in Greg's movie would be hilarious, that guy is insane & a fucking legend. Question is if Neil would agree to it, his ego is out of control and I wonder if he'd be ok to being in a smaller role and not the literal savior of humanity.

I would love to know how it was for Greg to shoot Best Friends with Tommy, after the experience he had with him on The Room. Was it easier, how long did they take to shoot Tommy? That would be interesting to know

The Brian Cranston thing didn't happen in real life though. It was made up for the film adaptation of The Disaster Artist. It added more to the tension of the relationships and gave him more of an incentive not to shave it, and the decision becomes bigger, but isn't how it really happened.

Greg seems like a 1 trick pony as well milking the room for all he can. He seems pretty shallow and like a typical person that comes to LA to be famous. I was born there and grew up on movie sets. Seen all types. I know these guys (types)
