Jay is one of my favorite artists and he always tries to shout out his people and give them opportunities to shine and he helps them a lot which is something I respect about him. Whenever he does features on another artists song he doesn’t take any money from it or the appearances he makes at the colleges

Cuz he went through so many hardship to get where he is tday, i mean from a leader of a top Kpop group in Korea at that time (they are ranked wayy higher than Big Bang during Jay Park 2pm time, Big Bang was struggling) to a restaurant server getting hourly payment is not really a good feeling. But he came back, broke the industry and became a Boss world wide, yes he understand the difficulties of artists more than anyone i'd say. He said it himself : "i'm seeking for helps" "i put work on the street" "i wish for my family and love ones" He's just being real.

He always shouts out his people, and from what I understand he does a lot of his features with them for free. The case of Loco was interesting because he was in debt with his former label and he wasn't happy there, so Jay paid off his debt (which was a lot of money) for him to get "free" and that's how he signed with aomg after. Jay also does University festivals where he donates his appeareance fee to the students, he's just that type of selfless person. There's also something about the artists that sign to his labels that once they leave, he keeps shouting out their new projects and them do it with him too. He stepped down from his CEO position of H1gher and AOMG but he's still the founder and in good terms with the labels so he goes to those labels just as a mentor for the artists. He has now founded More Vision (which at first people believed it was going to be just an idol company, but he signed 2 dance crews and he is promoting them anywhere he can, be it tv shows or concerts/festivals)

More Vision Project (MVP) is the boys crew and was newly formed so they didn’t get in into SMF (mnet wanted Jay to be a contestant with them but he declined). I think a few were in JTBC’s Showdown

he probably the most misunderstood artist in all of korea. the og bad boy. started the whole tattoo trend when it was more strict. ppl gotta understand that he was born and raised in seattle, surrounded by hiphop, he was a bboy battling here and there under AOM and even naming his first label AOMG. yeah dude has a lot to say but he can say all that with what he's accomplished and done for the hiphop/rnb scene and people will try to discredit everything he did for shit he said. not humble? i'd say he is, he'll do all that extra stuff but behind the scenes he's doing way more for his people, his standing in the korean music industry is WAY up there with how people tell only good stories about him and this is well known. for the racial shit ppl be talking about, i can't speak on it since im neither korean or black but one thing about him is that he can most def learn from his mistakes, he's that open minded about all that. like these are just my observations being a fan of his music since he went solo. he literally had #BLACKLIVESMATTER #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd #JusticeForBreonnaTaylor in the beginning of his All The Way Up MV. name another artist who voiced their opinion on that shit so openly like that. idk i think the last shit he wanna do is offend black ppl when he mentioned so many times that he's so thankful for the culture and being part of his life also allowing him to do what he does. he's always giving back so it sucks to see the hate. a lot of other artists pulled the shit he did w the hairstyles and they all got a pass for it, or at least just never commented on it and just let it die down because they too scared of even more backlash, but jay will always say his piece no matter what to let ppl know what he thinks and that he's willing to be educated so he can learn. like goddamn, dude was kicked out of korea, he was public enemy number 1 but look where he at now, AOMG, H1GHR MUSIC, ROC NATION, MORE VISION, WON SOJU.. all from scratch. all hustle. idk man its just sad how ppl are too quick to judge on that not knowing what this dude has done for so many people. but at the end of the day he'll def keep the hustle no matter what and still rep for his people while inspiring many more. "your favorite idol's idol" lol. anyway i respect everybody else's opinion and i got love for yall, hope we understand each other more and that we'd spread more love than hate. peace.

His hard work paid off. The industry acknowledged his accomplishment as a self made artist and succesful businessman. What matters is he's touched lots of hearts, men, women, young, old, even kindergarten kids! Lmao. It's easy to judge, esp when we're only watching behind the screens. But ppl who met jay only has nice things to say abt him

I agree 100% but also in my outsider view (not from the US) I would like to add that he spent half of his life in Seattle and half of it in Seoul. He may have his roots in the USA and act all that but he also has been living in such an homogenous country like SK, where CA isn’t a thing for the last 15 years. People don’t understand that when Yoon Mi Rae was a kid she would be bullied for being mixed and having a different texture hair (just to put an example). So what She, Tiger JK, and lots of early hip hop artists, including Jay did, made the culture popular in SK and made it seem something cool be it music or dance styles or even hairstyles. Idols/artists using black hairstyles might seem offensive in the US but for other countries is has always seemed cool and pretty. Most of the times is ignorance but just hating on people wont solve that ignorance. Specially if those things happened before CA wave reached SK. I’ve also seen him being called lots of adjetives that doesn’t even apply to him when looking at what happened, which is ridiculous. It okay to call him out when things happen and try to kindly educate him or whoever, but what I’ve seen on twitter when those things happened was all insults and never trying to teach him. The few that were patient enough and kind were the ones he appreciated and made him change.

@@Valariuss facts its a matter of educating people first rather than condemning on the spot cos if its like that then no one wins. dude lives by "spread love and positivity" and "everyone should win" everywhere he goes. he shows appreciation to hiphop/rap/bboy and black culture and always raising awareness to societal issues, at the same time wearing korea on his chest repping it to the fullest. tho we cant micromanage everyone, all ppl have to do is dive in a little on what jay park has done rather than dwelling on the past issues, see what the industry has to say about him, ppl he's worked with like damn yall rly think roc nation would sign jay park if he on that racist shit like cmon, dude gained everyone's respect thru genuine hustle and staying true to his shit not sugarcoating anything. thats why i fuck with him. jay is a real one.

In fact, in Korea, he is very respected and famous as an artist with good character. If people want to judge him, I think they should at least see both sides of him. I hope you do too. @@alii3210 hey i just wanted to let u know on some things u r misinformed about. jay never said anything negative about BTS before. he talked about ppl in the States mistaking him for a BTS member and he said 'not all korean artists are BTS'. he was also on a podcast where they were discussing favorite groups and he said his favorite is bigbang. another time he was doing this interview in the States and jay talks about the kpop industry, where groups have a polished and clean-cut image (including BTS). there were a few more where he mentioned BTS like this, but in none of these cases did Jay talk shit abt BTS. if anything he respects how far they've come and jokes about needing to get on their level lol. jay didn't say the n word. there was a clip circulating around on twitter once where this person said that jay said the n word at a concert, but he said 'shout out to dua lipa'. it was obviously not true because everyone at the concert said he definitely did not say the n word. so idk if the person that posted the video on twitter wanted to defame him or genuinely misheard it, but he never said the n word. he hasn't done or said anything sexist, idk where u got that from. he's not homophobic either, i think people come to that conclusion bc he said 'korea is gay' in 2005 on myspace. it's a bit of a reach to take that phrase and say he was homophobic, he was having a really difficult time when he first came to korea and was just complaining to his friends on myspace and that's the kind of language that was used at the time. anyways i'm not saying the problematic things he did do should be overlooked bc he did mess up and was insensitive, but i agree with you that it's ridiculous that people say his whole life is problematic or that he as a person is problematic. hope this helped have a good day!
