That’s why when I see people “simping” over lets say animated characters (i know they’re not real but they technically represent real life in a way) that are clearly messed up in the head and do horrible things for fun most of the time or cause they want to but all is excused cause they’re “hot”. it irks me so bad 😭

Pretty privilege IS a real thing. I am a psychologist so I know. Humans are innately biased towards things they find "beautiful." It still isn't well understood why this is as evolutionarily speaking, whether something is pretty or not has no relevance to its threat level. In fact, it is pretty things that tend to be more dangerous as they use their beauty to attract others like certain predatory plants and animals like anglerfish that use lures to get others to follow. It seems to relate to pattern recognition and the desire for symmetry in which humans innately respond positively to things that seem more structured like a pretty face and respond more negatively to someone considered ugly because of the lack of that symmetry or because they are ugly enough that they are not as recognizable as an ordinary person. It is quite complicated, but trusting someone because you like the way they look is a beyond foolish and impractical thing to do. It is a failure of natural selection I guess.

I feel like its been proven that killers have some form of narcissism. So when they do something horrible, they want people to know, but because they know its against the law, they don't make it really obvious. Its the whole 'are they competent to stand trial' thing, because they know right from wrong yet still decide to do it (opposed to someone who isn't mentally all there and did not know that killing someone was bad).

Dude didn't even invest in a high grade lock to keep the door closed and even if he did, that would still make her suspicious or curious. Serial killers who have families keep that sh*t away from all their family members and hide the bodies far away from their home. What kind of person stores a body in the closet when they aren't living alone? Was he trying to spook her? Why? She can call the cops immediately because he has left her unsupervised in his apartment. If he wanted to kill her, you'd think he would take her in there himself and then off her or something. I started crying as soon as she said the animals were not going to be killed because too many times animals are put down after enduring probably not the best lives because of crazy guys like him.
