I love LOVE Simon Says for its unique sound and meaning. I’m sure most ppl know NCT esp 127 were pioneers for “noise music” thus getting a bunch of hate since no-one was rlly doing it at the time. They dropped Simon Says, basically their same iconic “noise music” but more intense, a big slap to haters. Their lyrics also depict this, “Simon Says we’re a real vibe killer.” “Simon” in this case, is the media and industry. Simon is telling them to act like the other “groups”, but 127 decline thus making them “a vibe killer” in “Simon” (media) eyes. They’re basically saying they don’t want to fit in w other groups, n prefer to create their own music, even tho not everyone might find it appealing. Lots of dabs to haters in this song
