The funny thing is I’m sure any jungkook bias knows jungkook has been pulling out mj spins, the classic crotch grab , moonwalk variations, the kicks and even the standing on his toes bending his knees type of thing since like 2015 and on anytime they have anytime to freestyle…. Especially 2019 and on….I mean all the dynamite intros where he just makes it up as he goes … he’s continuously evolved and thrown in so much MJ!!! Now he does those and he throws in more house dancing and hip hop pop and locking bc it’s his more recent interests and what he’s been learning…. So being able to see him really using all these moves for his solo song so everyone who has missed him doing all that all the time can see and enjoy what he brings from the influence of MJ and other great artists that he’s listened to and looked up to his whole career just is the cherry on top. As someone who grew up listening to Michael Jackson, and him heavily influencing my taste in music….I can tell you that when I heard JK’s vocals first come in, I immediately thought of MJ!! Was blown away. Transported back in time….We all know JK has the pipes…but just wow. This is definitely a global pop star ….Someone Please pass JK his Golden Crown👑….Just wow!! Sebastine , I grew up with The Jackson Five, watched MJ grow into the King of Pop that he was. So yes, by the time the beat dropped after the intro I knew this song was "Golden" and was very happy to see all of the tributes to MJ. I may not have been with Bangtan for all 10 years, but I have been with them long enough to know that the greats ones hold a very special place in their music and it shows. Our 7 talented guys from Korea have somehow embodied these past great artists into themselves if that makes any sense. Great reaction even with the tears. Tears are good! Along with being a homage to the King of Pop MJ, the production is also a homage to the legendary producer Quincy Jones (who produced Thriller, Bad and Off the Wall - which this song reminds me a lot of). So many Q's trademarks, like having the backing singers come in singing off beat to JK.

Honestly I get it. The emotional ties to this time of music. My father loved this type of music and he unfortunately passed in 2018. He liked BTS. I was happy he liked them a lot and would watch their mv's with me. He was a wonderful father and I know he would love this song. It would be on repeat. So yeah I cried too. He loved MJ and he like Kookie a lot so he'd be really proud he paid homage one of the greats and added some of his own style too.
