well the label submissions for Grammys was terrible. They submitted for 5 members in a joint submission with nothing about what achievments the songs/album got. Just the name of artist and song/album name. I blame the label that the song didnt get an nomination.

Jungkook is the goat! Just supremely & massively talented & extremely hardworking. You might be surprised to know that it only took him 4hrs to record the vocal for this track & that he chose this song as the title track for his album after the producers of Seven (which was his official debut single) played it for him after its recording session.
@mayianna7805Ай бұрын
He also got the song the night before he recorded it after recording Seven. Can you imagine? Not his language... learned overnight and nailed it in 4 hours! One of the seven GOATS!
@anitaherbert1037Ай бұрын
Every producer who has worked with Jungkook say he's a genius. If you want he'll give you 20 differrent flavours on the same musical phrase. Plus he's willing to do it until the producer gets what he needs. He's incredibly professional. Hybe asked Suga not to use Jungkook for the guide vocals when Suga was writing and producing for other artists than BTS because it was too intimidating. He's on almost every BTS record providing adlibs etc. He's BTS main vocalist, amongst 4 all star vocalists.

I think you are the first reactor who felt a little bit of Jamiroquai in there. I mean everybody tried to feel ”comfortable” with their usual known artists when talking about Jungkook (Bruno Mars, MJ, etc). The Jamiroquai touch and association just shows what an incredible versatile voice Jungkook has. Thanks for isolating that vocal run which is coming right from the heaven. If you try his live, you will see that there is nothing engineered there. He sings exactly like this, if not better. :D
@claregallagher8550Ай бұрын
Totally agree! A lot of USA reactors tend to compare BTS only to American artists (obviously as they know the USA the most), but don't realise that whilst South Korea is influenced by USA music, there is a big world outside with much more music than just produced in the USA. BTS tends to look outside of just USA and have worked with people from other countries other than the USA, and so not ignoring the obvious MJ influence in this song, it is not the only one. I am so pleased that Jamiroquai was mentioned, as they were a massive funk acid jazz group, who also played to sold out concerts in South Korea.

I do enjoy when someone can isolate sounds because I hear certain elements I just couldn’t pick out on my own. Nice reaction. You may know that Jung Kook does many, if not most, of the background vocals on BTS tracks. When you listen to BTS tracks, you’ll hear how he does it. He’s so talented.

How is that possible? Because BTS don't schmooze their way to the top. All they know is hard work and love for their fans.💜

Jung Kook performed this live - iHeart Radio with a live band, if you're interested. No backup dancers with him - just him and the band. He is an AMAZING vocalist and artist. Did you know he recorded this in the States and in just one day? He went to the US to record Seven (ft. Latto), and then recorded the rest of his GOLDEN album in about a week! He was experimenting with different styles and pushing his vocal abilities. He's just Soooo good!

Thank you for continuing to show interest in BTS's music. If you plan to explore individual members whose solo tracks you haven’t listened to yet, I recommend the following songs: RM's "Wild Flower," Suga's (Agust D) "Daechwita," J-hope's "More," and V's "Singularity" (this one is an older track, but I thought of it considering your background as a sound engineer). Each member demonstrates their unique musical prowess in their respective styles. If you wonder what theses seven talented guys create as a group, I recommend watching the "ON (Kinetic Manifesto Film)" and "Black Swan" videos. You will see their versatility : ) I discovered your channel through BTS video and have enjoyed hearing your professional insights. Thank you! 💜💜

Jungkook went to LA to record his mega hit Seven. When he was done Andrew Watt said "we`re gonna do more", Jungkooks reply "more?"and that was Standing Next to You. He rehearsed the song in his hotelrom that following evening after recording Seven. Next day he recorded this song in 4 hours. Both songs was produced by Andrew Watt and Cirkut.
@MM-et2jrАй бұрын
Standing Next To you is one of my favorite songs this decade! would have been awesome if JK were able to accept Usher’s invitation to perform at the Super Bowl with the Usher-version of this song. Unfortunately, presumably due to military enlistment he couldn’t. I would love to hear your thoughts on “Domodachi” by RM of BTS - it’s very different from this track so it will be a really cool contrast of what else the BTS have to offer. and especially with you background I’m curious what you have to say. His whole album is AMAZING - as someone in the business I’m sure you’d find it interesting to listen to his whole album in one go, because it’s so well thought out, where the music reflects the title and the lyrics.

72 year old BTS Army here. You probably know that Jungkook or JK for short is the main vocalist for BTS and BTS was recently named as the "Most Streamed Group of All Time". His label announced this track as a subtle homage to MJ. It was his third Official solo release leading up to his record setting album "Golden" that currently has 3.4 billion streams. Jung Kook is known for his rare perfect pitch. He did feature on a song with Charlie Puth called "Left and Right" a couple of years ago. Charlie is known for his perfect pitch and commented on JK having it as well. None of Jung Kook's solo releases are Kpop. They are all English and all American productions and should not be considered Kpop for that reason. Even his dancers are famous American dancer/choreographers. Jungkook and Pdogg are the only Koreans involved with creating his solo work. Pdogg, a BTS mainstay, traveled to L.A. as a vocal engineer during JK's recording sessions. "Standing Next to You" was written and produced by Grammy Award winning Producer of the Year Andrew Watt and a team of notable American/Canadian songwriters that included Jon Bellion and Ali Tamposi. It was co-written and produced by the well known Canadian producer/songwriter known as Cirkut. It was recorded at Watt's L.A. Studio and this video was filmed in Budapest Hungary. You are probably aware that Andrew Watt has produced albums for Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, the Rolling Stones new album and other notables. The Canadian producer Cirkut also has impressive credits such as producing for "The Weeknd" and many others. Watt and Cirkut plus others from their team of songwriters were also involved with his first official solo release "Seven" Feat. Latto and also his album "Golden". "Seven" broke streaming records right out of the gate. It is the fastest song in Spotify history to reach 100 million streams and scored an "All Kill" debut on the Billboard charts: #1 Billboard Hot 100 #1 Billboard Global 200. #1 Billboard Global 200 excluding U.S. Both of his next two singles debuted in the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 including this song. This song was preceded by "3D" Feat. Jack Harlow. Thanks for your nice reaction! 💜

When bighit announced this song as the title track of the album, I was a bit skeptical. Seven, the first single released 4 months before is already huge so how can snty top that. I'm actually nervous the day before they released snty😅. When I heard the intro, I understand why they choose this song. It sounds so grand. The melody, the voice, the choreo...all reminded me of MJ. Pity the Grammy didn't choose this song to be nominated😏. IMO, what BTS is doing in this chapter 2 aka solo era is divide and conquer. BTS already has huge fanbase but as a group they're still restricted somehow since it is group projects. But when they release solo album, you can see 7 individual music taste. Each member tackled their own target market. I think they got huge wave of new fans during this chapter. Historically, we seldom see idol group members go to the military together. Those not going will continue to release music. BTS went to the military at almost the same time and prepared lots of contents to be release during their service. The amount of contents they have in store enabled them to released it every few weeks throughout this time.

This song is nominated for BBMA2024 in the Top Selling Song category, Jungkook is nominated as Top Song Sales Artist… What about the song seven? and 3d? all these songs are on the same incredibly cool level. Famous producers worked on his album. All the songs were completely in English, but they continue to push it into the K-pop category, when it's pure pop. Why haven't you heard of him before? Because of the lack of placement of the song on the radio… because in 90% of cases, all artists from the radio buy space there. You will stumble upon songs like Stending next to u, provided that you don't listen to the radio, but listen to the top 50 playlists on music services. The West does not want to remove its people from the top lines, they do not allow foreign artists, every year 1-2 new young American artists appear without any experience and they immediately fly away in Grammy nominations. while artists like Jungkook, through blood and sweat, real professionals in their field working 24/7 since the age of 13, have to fight their way 1000 times longer to reach those heights that are bought by these young American artists.
@flygray7326Ай бұрын
and the solo songs of the other BTS members are no worse than what you heard now, but because of the different language everything becomes even more complicated. Show business in the West is simply hypocritical.
@bridgeeybear1239Ай бұрын
I really hope and pray in 2025 he gets a Grammy(ies) for this song/album. I selfishly was hoping you would have isolated the background vocals. Eg. @2:12 or @4:55 @5:00 etc... Jungkook is usually the one doing background vocals for all the members. It doesn't sound like him, so was wondering who he chose to do background for him. Pop culture question we may never know the answer to.

Jin's new album is also worth a listen. It's not that I don't love the Astronaut to death, but it's so heavily Coldplay influenced that it's hard to really hear Jin's unique energy. Try Running Wild or Another Level or I'll Come for You from Jin's album Happy. I personally love I'll Come for You because they leave his breathing in, which makes it so very emotional. It's like (breath) (sigh out the line of the song) (next breath)(sigh out the next line).....Also the lyrics are very moving if you know how they describe his time away at the military service and his promise to come back to ARMY. oops, you already did Running Wild-- I went back to see what I've missed. And what's more, I already commented on it. Aging brain betrays me again. Thanks!

Pls listen to RM latest album, Right Place Wrong People ! His album will get you into a new journey of ‘sound’ . Very unique, timeless and weird . Very in love with his super cohesive, latest album, from the first to the last songs 👌🏼✨ RM is the leader of BTS . He is the main songwriter for all of their songs, he is a great lyricist and also one of their main producer & composer for all BTS songs . Jungkook repeatedly said the main reason he join BTS and this small company (back in 2013) solely bcs of RM , he is a genius guy with 148 iq . Other members keep complimenting him as a good leader and someone who can always inspire each one of bts members and able to brings out each one of their own potential . RM writing music specifically suits each members is the reason why BTS became this much popular .
