The fact that Ekko understood what was going on, that he got the gist of it SHOWS how SMART he is. Jinx was able to figure out how it works, too. After she got Jayce's journal. That it came from "the land of heebie jeebies." In her own words. Jinx and Ekko are arguably the smartest characters in the show and I love that their designs don't show that. That's very intentional; they WANT you to underestimate these people cause of simply where they're from.

@@VinniePaul91yes and no, Jayce figured everything out himself, even Victor started with Jayce’s own designs, Jayce explained what was going on with Hextec to Ekko and Jinx used Jayce’s journal, Jayce never had anyone to give him any idea on how to even come close to making Magical scientific creations, that’s all him, people for some reason always sell him short when arguably he is probably the smartest individual in the show, he’s the start, the one everyone uses as a reference for what they want to do or learn from, the only reason Jayce even needed Victor in the second episode is cause he was suddenly on a deadline and couldn’t take his time cause of Vi and her Gang exploding his place, yes maybe his creativity might have been hampered without Victor but again Jayce is the one that started everything, the one everyone uses to gain an idea on hextec.

I don't think that cait is losing her grip on reality. The reality is that there is no peaceful solution. In a matter of weeks, there have been three separate bombings and an additional assassination attempt on leadership, and no half measures have succeeded. I get the whole "root for the underdog" thing but we can't skim over what Cait has to deal with as head of house Kiraman and the defacto sheriff.

Some people feel this first act to be rushed, but here's how I personally see it... The first act in the first season went slower because it was introducing the characters, the world, and establishing the relationships within it. Since we have all of this established now, it only makes sense to go go go in this season. Besides, this is very accurate in how fast this situation would escalate. The capital of the city was blown to bits, leaving 3 councilors dead...it would be absolute chaos and things would be happening left and right. Just thought I'd say that. You can disagree with me if ya want but...honestly I won't be listening to any negative feedback, I really won't care. 💜

Yeah I honestly don't understand why people are complaining about this. The pacing is fast, sure, but it's still paced really well. Arcane was never a slow-paced show, it just had a few of those moments in early S1, but it always packed everything into a nice condensed package and the same is true for S2. Pacing absolutely did not bother me in the slightest and I hadn't even considered it a possible 'flaw' of the season before I read it online. They had a lot to get to, and they're getting to it all - plus a lot of new stuff! I'm not complaining.

Act 2 could definitely be a bit of a breather to explore what's really going on now that everything's gotten even messier, but I'm also expecting Singed's "project" to shake everything up when it's released. No one seems to have even the slightest idea he's doing anything, which means the impact of it will be even less predictable than whatever's happening with Hextech/Viktor/the Arcane. I expect it to happen either near the beginning or end of the arc, to either dramatically shift the direction we think things are going during the arc or to break up a near-resolution at the end of the arc and restart the unbalancing of everything.

Caitlyn is definitely going dark. Her reaction to trauma is very similar to Jinx, but with one major difference. Cait had a pretty solid upbringing with some good role models to look up to. Until she grew up enough to know better, she felt safe in her world, and supported by her family and friends. Jinx has had a lifetime of trauma and abandonment issues. She never stood a chance. I’m interested to see if nurture matters at all for Cait, or if nature wins out every time.

My theory is that the gray isn't a living creature itself, but possessed by one, specificaly by Fiddlesticks, an elder demon that eats the fear of people all over Runeterra, turning into/fusing with the regions' main fear, "The Zaun's gray" in this case.

"what did he do ?" well he had the most important thing to run a project, lead a cause, make people follow him etc... He had a shitload of charisma. Sevika probably would've had the support of a lot of people we saw in season 1 that she had actually quite the support even when opposing Vander but I guess maybe she can't see herself as a leader and rather be someone right hand or something. But as they say, even tho silco was constantly delegating all the time the moment he die his whole empire crumble even tho you would think that with so much delegating it could've stayed autonomous for a while. Silco was ruthless, cold, cruel and so on but damn he had a cause, a dream, a glorious purpose one might say and even tho he scared a ton of people there were sope that followed him because they beleived in some kind of "rightousness" of his path. Silco is one of my favourite character because Sevika is one of my favorite character and that moment when she decide to kill gold jaw guy really showed the trust she put in Silco. Like she confronted him before, voiced her concern about his way of handling jinx and all, gold jaw guy made her an offer of quite the money etc... But she wasn't in it for the money and even after all her doubt and frustration she still decided that Silco was the person she should support in order to achieve freedom for the nation of zaun. And what's even crazier is that this same cause that pushed Silco for all his life that allowed him to keep going, to keep fighting, to never stop and do everything to obtain the power needed to face the tyrants of piltover it all came crashing down because of love. Obviously Silco's a quite often called a monster and he is not a very humanitarian kind of guy? But his final struggle, his dream finally in his reach but also untouchable because he couldn't bring himself to give up on jinx even tho he sacrified surely hundreds and hundreds of people before. To me thats is quite "humane", not in a sense of nice or compassion or any other virtue but in a sense of "a quite well depicted representation of humanity's flawed existence and constant struggle against ourselves and our creation. And ho boy those last word "don't cry ... you're perfect" not a redemption, not an excuse for a what he's done but still a change and an attitude that seemed completly inconceivable before. Man I miss Silco and I don't konw if season 2 will be able to give me a character that make me feel so much. I do love Jinx and sevika's team up, Ambessa is a total bad ass and I love that, I also quite enjoy caitlyn's new found resolve and I am ready willing and able to pray to our new Messiah Viktor. Still deeply hate jayce and VI tho.

When Silco's voice comes in with the 'Have you had enough?' it's not, I believe, his voice in Jinx's head. It's a call back to the intro of season 1 Episode 3 where he talks about drowning, the duality of the peaceful lure of the water and the thing inside your head fighting to survive, and all the while this question lingers before you: Have you had enough? I think Jinx is on the verge of drowning here. and I even think she wants to die. But the thing inside of her won't let her, and this is why she screams. Also, Silco sinks down in the same position he did in that season 1 episode. The writers and the animators of this show are so good.

So 'The Grey' is the cannon name for the gas substances that make Zaun's air mostly unbreathable. I don't know why they're adding so much personification to it, as it's just supposed to be toxic natural gasses mixed with all the smog and pollutants of Zaun. They didn't use the name in S1 as they didn't know what all they were gonna keep cannon (Riot is reworking thier lore to create continuity across all thier products)

at first i was confused as to where they were taking heimerdinger, but I think I realized why he seems like an asshole: it's because he's immortal. His age makes him disconnected with the passage of time, so everything seems so fast to him when put into his perspective, which is hightlighted in the previous season. However, this season is introducing his excitement for the new experiences he's now getting a chance to have (living with the firelights, experiencing the lanes, the infiltration) he's almost euphoric in his body language. A detail many people missed is what happened to Smeech and hos goons at the start with the Grey. My guess is, they ran into the enforcer squad and made a deal with them to get Jinx for them. It's why Smeech suddenly has the idea to turn Jinx in and why the accountant guy survived relatively unscathed.

A few things I thought would be interesting to highlight :) 1-When Viktor says that the paths between him and Jayce are no longer the same, he could be relating many things here. For example, Viktor himself became a mixture of hextech, chemtech and human because of Jayce, even though it was Viktor's request to destroy the hextech core, thus showing that Jayce is greedy, he doesn't want to be displeased. of losing one or the other. Unlike Viktor who chose to initiate what he has become now in exchange for his own humanity. And another thing too, when just before Viktor says that their paths are very different now, he takes Sky's notebook, which is on a table full of weapon prototype schematics. Remembering in the previous ep, Viktor's desire and Jayce's idea was that hextech wouldn't become a weapon, and yet Jayce turned this new technology into weapons. (Of course, I'm not criticizing Jayce in a negative way, he's just reacting according to the environment in which he lives.Leaving him with no or few options) 2-I liked that Elijah noticed Viktor's eyes, apparently they are changing color every second, smoothly. 3-The flashback scene that appears of Jinx creating Sevika's arm is a detail that Riot, creator of Lol and financier of arcane, put to highlight its newest minigame event, "Jinx fixes everything", where you Control Jinx in that location, going through some challenges to create Sevika's new arm, if you want Elijah, I think it would be cool to see a gameplay of this event :) 4-You can see that Jinx is in the "genius" category, seeing how with so little material she managed to build an arm even better than Sevika's old arm. And of course, she customized the arm based on Jinx's tastes and from Sevika, since Sevika seems to be a person addicted to gambling.

This episode is gotta be one of my favorites. We got Jinx, drama, the song "Sucker" is a blast and the fight scene with Sevika is absolutely a bop. You can say a lot of things about Sevika but no one can deny that she's a baddie and a cool character (I like her a lot if you can't tell lol) Ps. I just noticed that in the title sequence when Caitlin is covering her face and her shadow has a crown on it. This is a very big reference to the Story of Macbeth. Where a general kills his king, becomes king himself, and is so consumed by guilt that the king commits more atrocities to try to cover up his crimes.

What can I say about this episode? Sevika tends to take Vi's place, because they have in common being go-getters, fighters and protectors. Sevika has always been someone's arm and I think after the fight that's how she positions herself. And what a fight! Really funny and so much like Jinx. Chaotic but revealing 2 things: jinx wants to repair and jinx wants to put an end to her past. I also feel the theme of the mother coming as the center of the concept of family, with jinx/kid, Cait/her mother, Mel/Ambessa. Vik-jesus, I also don't know what to think about what his action will entail. Perhaps where the hextec unbalances the arcane, Viktor will bring the "innate" balance and more through science. On the other hand, Cait tends to take Jinx's place with Vi, as a loved but unstable person. Another person that Vi will want to save and on whom she risks losing her teeth. Gray is the gas that pollutes zaun. And it was Cait's mother who created a process to dilute it, evacuate it. Cait uses it in complete opposition to her mother's beliefs. Her mother was her pillar (moral, family, hierarchical) and without her, Cait slowly loses her bearings and heads towards bad choices. The parallel with Jinx is obvious. Vi as an enfoncer, what a horrible sight for Jinx. It's the bridge, but worse because the enemy here is her sister. Looking forward to seeing your future reactions to the 3rd episode.
