The hex core WAS helping Viktor walk and made him feel better. However, after it consumed Sky, Viktor deemed it too dangerous and raised the stool to destroy it. At first the hex core coiled back in "fear" thinking Viktor was actually going to do it, but once Viktor dropped the stool and started to walk away it decided to retaliate- shocking him and taking away the magic so that Viktor was no longer able to walk nor being helped against his disease which is why when they meet up before the final council meeting (when Viktor spread's Sky's ashes and attempts to off himself) he's looking sick and coughing again.

And Jayce knows none of this, he thinks the Hexcore will simply help Viktor and is so desperate to save him (he just almost saw him jump off 💀) that when Viktor gets injured his first thought is "the hexcore is reacting so it must save him, I don't care what happens, I want him to survive", which is why ep 2 is so tragic 😭 I don't even ship them but I'm heartbroken anyway, I'm SO curious about Viktor's development

The facial features seem different, especially in the first portrait, but this is understandable, because a person aged 16-18 looks slightly different than when she is 50. The second portrait clearly looks to me like a younger version of Cassandra, probably after 30. For you, it is weird, but I find it pretty cool that Cassandra hung a condensed story of her life on her wall. Besides, she was rich and could afford several portraits. I'm more willing to believe that's all Cassandra's portraits than that house Kirammans magically have only daughters.

One thing to know about Ambessa, is that like Mel is a politician and Jayce is an idealist, Ambessa is a WARLORD. Things like "leader" and "warrior" comes second, as a warlord always amass power to overcome their enemies. She wants hextech not out of interest for a grand cause, but to defeat her enemies, whoever they might be.

One thing I noticed watching Arcane again. Smoke, fire, and some liquids are hand animated. Which is why they look so amazing. Those mediums are always a b*tch to animate, but hand animated tends to look better.

There is symbolism in Vi and Jayce trying to use the hammer together. They are complete opposites, Piltover and Zaun, yet they came together to do something better. And then their kill was stolen by Noxus forces, taking away anything that could have come of that moment together.
