Trying different places and different coils on the Fisher 19 metal detector.
I started out by finding a really old cellar hole from the 1700s up on the hills of New England with the full size 10 coil and did some digging. A very early settler site and not much to be found but I did my best. In the later part of the day I went to a cellar hole from the 1800s and switched out the small 5 inch coil. We had been there before on a group dig so the place has been hit hard. With that small coil on the Fisher F19 I was able to find things that were missed several old buttons and other relics.

I love it when you find a ball button especially with a shank, they always look special and remind me of a pair of black patent shoes that I wore for my Aunts wedding when I was about 5 years old, they did up with little ball buttons and Mum had a special hook to undo them. I vaguely remember that site Charlie and it was great to see you finding relics there again. The little knife blade was a great find too, I think that's the smallest knife blade I've seen apart from pocket knife blades. The leaves are a gorgeous colour where you were, though that wind sounded fresh and the water was running well through there. Good luck and happy hunting and hiking my friend God bless you and NinJen love and hugs to you both Mary-Ellen LFOD UK

Another nice video, Charlie! When you dug that flashing out of the wall at Schoolhouse Rocks, it reminded me of a piece of flashing I dug up in my yard while testing my detector. Damn thing was under six inches of topsoil and another six inches of Georgia red clay - which in summer is like digging through cement - and it's from my house, which is less than 30 years old. Heaven knows how it got that far down, seeing as how my builder was definitely too lazy to have buried it there, and it was just the single piece. Thanks for posting and bringing us all along!

The School House Rocks Site Strikes Again and after all this time. It is a shame the first site didn't produce much but the second one paid off. I have watched the SD video of this site and it is still amazing that the site is still producing relics. Great Video Thanks for taking the time Charlie.

I would suppose that the earlier people had 0 money and the little bit later people had at least a little money with which to buy things.

I used to walk all over the Adirondacks and wore rubber insulated boots or non-insulated depending on the season. Such as Red Ball. Curious why you don’t. With rubber boots no worries. Walk right through it no problem.

Why does a small coil make a difference? How do the coils differ ?
@zrbsrbija
@zrbsrbija 2 жыл бұрын
Small coil separates targets better ( less area for detector to read in 1/10 of a second) bigger coils go a bit deeper on say nickels or quarter size stuff but little green pea size stuff large coil may not pick up but a small coil will Also small coil may get between obstacles better Best advice 2 to 3 coils. Like owning 3 different pair of shoes ,, Boots tennies flip flops Right
