Nottingham Attacks: Aspiring doctor died trying to save friend, as brother speaks out

The brother of Grace O'Malley-Kumar has told Sky News his sister was a "hero" who gave service to her community and it was a "privilege" to have an older sister like her.
James O'Malley-Kumar, 16, said her killer Valdo Calocane remained "emotionless" as he read his impact statement in court, telling him how he had ruined his life and childhood.

This young man would be a perfect lawyer . The way he speaks without raising of his voice at all , and the words he uses are outstanding . He's a very decent person . Iwas a out to comment about the easiness of acquiring knives .. ie: from any home kitchen .. then he said the same thing . I can't see how carrying knives can be stopped. Anyone stopped and searched , even at random could just say it's for their personal protection . Maybe very long prison sentences for carrying one for any reason , might prevent it . I'm not paid to come up with suggestions , that is what the authorities ought to be doing .

he was going to prison for life or he was going to a secure unit for life. The fact of murder was already established, there was no way he was getting an acquittal on a murder charge.
