Zucchero isn't 'just' an Italian singer - he's THE Italian singer. Best friend of Pavarotti, sang at his funeral. You could say he's like the Italian Elton John, or probably more accurately, given his bluesy/jazzy nature, Van Morrison. He's worked with pretty much everyone from Miles Davies to Sinead O'Connor to Stevie Ray Vaughan to Brian Wilson. That he lives in Pontremoli speaks volumes about the place because, after 20 odd best selling albums, he could live anywhere he wanted.

Yes this was interesting. Who doesn't like house hunting in a foreign land. You showed a nice mix of properties currently available. Love how the cellars all have that curved dome structure to them with nice sturdy brick work. The prices were not bad at all. But, the kicker is the Notary Fees. That is surprising. I would love to hear more about how that all works. Is it based on square footage, delinquent taxes, etc....? The final place was like a palace and so cheap of sale price. You are the only channel I watch from Italy that deals in rebuilding of old places. I mostly watch people from Portugal that all the expats are moving to in droves. They want their own land and hands full of rebuilding small stone structures. The towns are so similar to Italy. You can tell the Romans were all through that part of the world.
@NotUselessYet
@NotUselessYet 11 ай бұрын
The notary fees (and taxes) are based on the value the government has set for each property in Italy, the fiscal value, in the countryside this is quite low, but is a calculation of size, region, age etc.

I truly enjoyed this departure from the usual trials and tribulations of rebuilding your beautiful 16th century ? Villa. These 3 examples of what is available in your area are exceptional. #1 with that cellar turned into a kitchen along with that huge garden is awesome. #2 with the beautiful highly decorated ceilings and all original details is fabulous. #3 that house is a dream. The prices for all three is swoon worthy. You presented all of them brilliantly. Please do it again and as often as you can. This old guy in California can't wait. BTW your villa is coming along quit nicely. The hard work shows.

A really enjoyable video. We're at the tail end of our holiday (now permanent) home renovation, but in the South of France rather than Italy. Tuscany is so beautiful and the apartments you have shown are really lovely...especially 2 and 3! Having said that, after having battled to get my French to B2, the thought of starting again with Italian would fill me with horror! The price of getting older...a much slower brain 😅😂

This was fun! But while I appreciate that you're never going to believe a bunch of people on KZbin, you should know that hearing your thought process is a crucial reason your adventures are enjoyable to your viewers. There are a ton of channels that are all about the DIY, or if people want the nuts and bolts of architecture, there are shows like Grand Designs (who posted their old episodes on KZbin). You are the only one talking about what it's like to be a dad, trying to rehabilitate a once-loved house into a safe nest for his family's adventures, with a welcoming community of people who appreciate his efforts (and share their food, yum). I'm almost certain that somewhere another family is going to find the idea of joining your community irresistible, because they saw your not-boring-at-all videos.

I hear electricity and gas are expensive…. Do you have any paperwork on what it costs to heat a house such as these through the year. What are the annual taxes? And are there any other expenses and surprises one should be aware of. What about Health Insurance? Doctors and Hospitals in the area?! It’s vitally important to know upfront what one is getting into…. Also homeowners insurance and buying a car costs…what about petroleum?! Thank you for taking your time to sharing with us the loveliness of Tuscany and all its amazing properties and landscapes. It was a dream of mine to move to Italy instead I moved to South America. I returned to the States due to illness and well… the rest is just life. DON’T WAIT TO LONG. Life can change in a single breath. You DESERVE to Live your dreams!🎉

Well, electricity is quite cheap, and there’s no mains gas here. I used to heat with a log burner and electric radiators for the cold couple of days in the year. These days I’d use a pellet oven like in Italy. The taxes are 3-400€ a year. There are plenty of doctors and the nearest hospital in in Periguex about 20 minutes away. There’s no car tax in France, insurance is cheaper than in Austria or Italy, but depends on your car and driving record.

Yes, VERY INTERESTING and different! Thank you. ---I have 2 simple photography requests. 1.) In general, Much of the time we see the ground... the floor, and I am begging you to move the camera UP! For example, you showed us the whole stone balcony floor and stone work on side of building, but never the view from the balcony, until the very end of the video. I am screaming over here, PLEASE move the camera UP from the ground and show us the VIEW! Or the upper part of the room also. (I know you did show ceilings here.) Would in general LOVE to see more of the surrounds of Italy - so Beautiful! Or the surround of the room as an overview not just detail. There was much more of that in this video which we loved! (And, For those of us who don't live there, even the beautiful drive to Innsbruck would be lovely for us.) Thank you for thinking of this as you film. In general please will you show us a higher cut of the view you are giving, at, least after you show us the low view. Even inside buildings, show us from the ground up to the ceiling with an OVERVIEW of the room sometimes, please? Secondly, 2. ) Please, When Panning, like the gardens or surrounds, MOVE THE CAMERA SLOWLY AS YOU PAN, please. You make us dizzy and the lens cannot focus as fast as you pan so we see nothing of that beautiful garden pan. Thank you very much for all you share. I don't want in any way to be dismissive ... just to see more of what is around you and to see all the way up to the sky from the ground. Thank you so very much for considering these requests. Otherwise we love to see everything you are doing there and YES please do this again. Please forgive my passion about the photography. I have been watching for months (in both love and frustration) talking to my computer... so here it is. Thanks again!

This was a fantastic video. I am amazed how inexpensive the last house was. It looked to be in great shape, that huge yard is begging for a veggie garden The one next to the cathedral had beautiful floors and lots of potential. The trhee homes you featured were a great blend of has potential and ready to move in. I will watch for more. Living in my piece of paradise on the West Coast of Canada, I will vicariously follow, but unless a lotto win is in my future, Tuscany is too far for a purchase. But I will return for another visit.

The apartment is incredible! Yes, could dust it and it would be a museum. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for a very interesting watch, you could do this more often as you present well. We are currently living in France and have just about finished our renovation, we always have an open mind on where next and love content like this.

Loved it! I'll take the 3rd property if it can have the location of the second one and garden of the first 😂 Adding in more tours like these on your channel on a (semi) regular basis would be great. Look forward to seeing more properties in the future and, of course, progress on your own property.
