Nouman Ali Khan explains that gaining knowledge should lead to an increase in humility. He also gives an important warning about speaking on behalf of the Sunnah and other scholars. May Allah increase us in humility.

I am christian and I want to say that this video changed my life. It made me open my mind to those I see more or less qualified than I am. I now have the intent to learn and fill up my mind of knowledge rather than to have the intent to argue. Thank you so much and God Bless you. You make students like me to learn 10x more because of I use to be stubborn and arrogant.

Ryan Foley you knew ban from this part of youtube. go else where. you are making huge baseless assumption about him do you have access to his heart or his inner most hidden desires. no, so please he is calling towards good. like him i didn't practice Islam for a long time.if you practice what Allah swt is calling you to do then you will see results happen.Allah swt is most forbearing and extremely merciful but he is extreme grievous at punishment too 13/August/2018 you will inshAllah see what happened to nations of past before their end.

I agree with the statements said in this video, ignorance, ego are the worst of enemies sitting in us inside. If ego is there god cant be there, once ego gone god starts showing in our heart. I will say we should not try to "learn" but we should try to "Understand" - word "learning something" is synonym of acquiring information where as word "understaning" is the synonym for "wisdom" (absorb like a sponge =understand=humility, be it god or education). -Mahaveer Singh

It seems to me that if you gain knowledge for the sake of the people, you compare your knowledge to the vast majority and you may realise you know more than them and thus beccome arrogant but if you gain knowledge for the sake of Allah, you realise you only know what Allah (swt) has intended you to know and even then it is not even 0.5% of the knowledge that Allah (swt) has and thus you become humbled. Jazakallah Khair to Qur'an weekly for this video and many others :)

Da'wah is an obligation upon everyone. You give da'wah of what you know for certain while being humble. The things in Deen one needs qualifications for is in passing fatawa's answering mas'ala's, and deriving the ahkaam from the Qur'an/Hadith among other things. The layperson can still convey, although with wisdom and humility. Nothing brother Nouman Ali Khan says here contradicts the duty of Da'wah. Wasalam. :)

@KaonNeutre Which is why in Islam's case, the message is what allowed people to believe in his Prophethood. The truth is, people were told to "cover their ears" so they didn't hear him preach, they did this because that's how much they feared this message he was bringing. It's too much of a long subject to cover on youtube, but you hopefully get the point. The message was the key, it had to be so powerful to make people at that time believe this man.
@ulser8011 жыл бұрын

@KaonNeutre Today, it is easy for someone to convert to Islam, nearly 2billion followers, fastest growing religion in the world. 1400 years ago though, it wasn't easy. And that's why it's pretty clear the message itself had absolute importance before anyone was able to say he is the Prophet(pbuh) of God.

Personally, my issue is that... if we're supposed to follow the sunnah of the Prophet salAllahu alejhi wa salam and we're supposed to understand them deeply, so that we know how to apply them correctly in our day to day life, and we do that by reading comments of the sahabah or the fukaha, that's as much knowledge I'd need to practice the sunnah. However, there are people out there that have read those translations, and come up to you and correct your "mistakes", just because they've read a translation, don't even remember the translation, and you're preetty sure that's not the way the hadith goes... I just... can't help but get mad :/

Moreover, what will be the fate of those who never come in contact with Islam( in the shariah sense)? Please accept my apologies for the barrage of questions, but I am trying to paint an understanding of the characteristics of God in Islam. I would really appreciate if someone could get back to me with some sound answers. Also, a KZbin video describing the nature of God would really help the cause. Thank you, and if the answers satisfy me, I will submit to God right here on KZbin.

Hi there, I am looking into Islam, but I have a question that bugs me. When scholars tell you to ask your Lord to guide you in your decision of choosing the right religion, how will this help? I mean you will naturally be inclined to side towards the religion that you have understood the most (and in some case it will not be Islam). So would it be just on God's part if you are thrown into hell for this (provided you lived a morally outstanding life in your alternate religion)?

@KaonNeutre "Or many people was listen to him, think about it and knew how impossible this story was" - 90% of Arabia reverted, including the hardened Jews. Do your research, they didn't just do for the sake of it, Muhammad(pbuh) started off as 1 man and ended up with thousands upon thousands of followers. After his death, this turned to Millions, today it's in the Billions. Yeah, clearly an "impossible" story lead to this right.

@KaonNeutre Lets take a look at what Non-Muslim historians say on the matter though? The biggest revolution in the whole of mankind, happened with Muhammad(pbuh). In 23 years, he didn't just change a state, it's laws, he changed the way people lived, acted ALL THE WAY to how they even think. He done that in 23 years, the biggest revolution in the smallest amount of time, pre-Islam compared to after-Islam era, that's not normal. Also, God says it not Muhammad. And it's this verse -

@Perseveranze "Message is more important then the messenger, I agree." Then you don'T care about someone say or not he is a prophet of god. Because you will evaluate his messages no matter what credibility the guy try to self-attribute to himself. A liar could say he is the prophet of god, tell you what you should believe in and that you can't tell anything over it because you are not god... As long as you believe that guy is the prophet of god, you will lose all objectivity upon his teaching.
