For some reason, the first thing I thought when hearing MBT describe this deck is "Oh how I wish *this* had been the first ever deck that used a terrible vanilla it wanted to summon from deck", instead of Gem Knights, so the term for "A card you don't want to draw" could have been coined as Burger instead of Garnet, and Yugioh players forever after could have said to each other "I drew my Burger" in every deck that played Garnets.

It's not too late, we can just call it a burger regardless; the card is a popular enough vanilla, with the same issues. We can just burger and it has a chance of catching on.

Reminds me of my Vampire Killers. Half pound of 90%/10% ground beef, minced garlic (about 2 teaspoons), ground black peppercorn, basil, and dill. Work in the ingredients together and press it super flat (minimize the size of breaks in the meat by moulding it further). Salt the two sides of the patty to help it brown well and prevent sticking while you grill the patty (you can use a cast iron skillet if you're indoors). End result, you get a giant patty of flavor. They're called Vampire Killers because if the garlic doesn't kill them, the steak will!

@sv4173 I almost want to play the archetype, it's a flavorful archetype where the scale of the dishes increase with the levels of the ritual monsters and cooking is something I can enjoy casually. However, I'm not fond of Rituals and I lack the interest to invest in ritual staples and components to build the deck. This TMT doesn't motivate me either with how the gameplay looked. Maybe with some support, they'll handle a little more smoothly, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm still sad the hungry burger archetype was fancy french dining. I really wanted a fast food oriented archetype with terribly named cards like 'super size me' f or 'secret menu' for a and 'out of order (with a broken ice cream machine on it)'. It would have been hilarious, and it being a terrible deck would have fit the theme too. xD

It's great though. The chefs work their way through various courses before the head chef comes out and sees everyone out. Then if anyone sticks around too long he turns them into what every fancy chef wants to make for himself by the end of the day: a simple burger. And if the person Baelgrill turns into a burger has company and he's already gotten mad enough to negate he tosses everyone out so he can be left alone with his burger.

All I can say about the more recent rituals archetypes is that I’m just happy Konami doesn’t go and actively sabotage decks like Libromancers and Nouvelles the way they treated Vendreads so overly harsh like they were convinced it would obliterate the meta and force them to nerf the zombie engine.

@@nsalieister3334 MBT completely skipped over Impcantations which are great for the deck and all the consistency you need. As for triggering their effects, there's Staff Recipe in-theme, or Extra Foolish Burial into Infernoble Knight Captain Roland. Or you can just ignore the whole targeting shtick and just ritual summon the level 6. Between its effect and the trap's GY effect, you have all the tributing disruption you need.

I appreciate that you decided to play this but I do question a lot about the list. The lack of engine means your Buer is always going to whiff. I'd at least play one Froie Glasya because it can go straight into Grill off itself and a normal and Ishizu some resources. Almiraj helps get this deck rolling if you don't have anything to do with diviner. I like the book of moon but punishment I feel can do a lot more to help clear boardstates of defensive bunguses. Great video, love the plays and Jillians acting was top notch lol

I'm honestly upset with your premature surrender in game 2. The level 1 ritual is a major threat on it's own if your opponent cannot out it without targeting. Given that your opponent already used smashers, you could force them into a lose-lose situation by forcing them to trigger your effects.

I love that Hungry Burger and the other monsters are warriors and beast-warriors while having demon + food names. Its absurd. Hmm...would Kaiju work in this deck? If you just sack their defense monsters and summon monsters in attack then they always have something to "eat".

Yeah I feel like Interrupted Kaiju Slumber would be a perfect fit for this deck. In general I feel like this deck could probably work a lot better going second and main decking things like that and Dark Ruler. Also, I kinda love the Warrior/Beast-Warrior thing. It's because of the food. All the Beast-Warrior Nouvelles are demons made from fish dishes and all the Warrior Nouvelles are made from meat dishes. And that's why Voici la Carte (Today's Menu) allows you to (gonna paraphrase the effect here) add a Nouvelles Ritual, then add Fish Recipe if it was a Beast-Warrior and Meat Recipe if it was a Warrior.

I think the implication is that (besides trying to fit with the original Hungry Burger typing) they're Warriors and Beast Warriors because of the food. I don't know why they decided this, but all of the Beast Warrior Nouvelles are based on fish dishes, and all the Warrior Nouvelles are based on meat dishes. Which is why "Voici La Carte (Today's Menu)", a consistency card Joseph did not play, allows you to (gonna paraphrase the effect to make my point) search a Ritual Nouvelles, then add Fish Recipe if it was a Beast Warrior and Meat Recipe if it was a Warrior.

My recipie (no pound intended) is a mix with drytron and OMG. They are tasty 👌 apo with 4 materials + ritual 5 + Dyna Mondo + omni trap and 5 cards in hand.... Of course if droll doesn't show off 😖 It's a very long combo, but I like those kind of strategies. I also play swordsoul, which is really straight forward. Love the intro as always. Really curious if i can realistically run a small Nouvelles package in my Impcantation Dogmatika deck using the mid-high level rituals. I already run Burger in there for the memes. Normally I would run the lvl 8 Shino rituals, but this more or less accomplishes the same thing. I'd have to take out Pre-Prep though since its only target at that point would be Relinquished. If I really need them, I guess I could just run the Shino cards and Pre-Prep in the side deck. ALSO, just hear me out: if you ran Batosbuster in Impcantation Dogmatika, that'd give you access to monsters like Despian Luluwalilith. Usually i would just synchro burger into Baronne de Fleur, but Lulu is also pretty good and is on brand for the archetype and deck.

I just built a Tri-Brigade burger deck that basically just uses hamburger as a engine (tenki searches 1 & 3 rituals) - the 1 and 2 tribute ritual interacts well with kitt and nervall (i tested with master duel in might so the simorgh link exists aswell)

Been testing this engine as a drytron gimmick deck. Its kind of cool if you just incorporate lvl 3-6. The meteonis gy effect can trigger the 3 to go into the 5, and interrupt with the 6 on the opponent's turn. The field spell is pretty broken imo. I just play the meat recipe, but could play either without the lvl 1 or 2.

gotta say Nouvelles might be the most dissapointed I've been in an archetype in a long time they said they were making a Hungry Burger archetype I thought like... fast food. have the support be like a chain restaurant, with a focus on paying life to employees and gaining life or taking life from your opponent by "selling" burgers, with the end goal to be churning out Hungry Burgers with various rituals. maybe some Pendulum stuff as "sides" and an extra deck filled with silly foods(Xyzs of various burg heights, Link monsters could be Combo Meals, and all sorts of Fusion food puns as well?) have the focus be on the Hungry Burger and various new Hungry menu items... instead we get french cuisine demons and Hungry Burger feels like an afterthought

I am confused about y like not just the deck list but how it was played I don't know if making it look unplayable was the goal or what
