Spurs that year were toast without David Robinson but that 1 awful season ended up being worth it since it lead to 19 years of Tim Duncan.

And if the Spurs in 1999 were as good as the 1995 Spurs team that had the best record in the league and was an MVP year for Robinson, I think they still win that 1999 championship. People forget how good pre-injury Robinson was.
