There's a lot to like aboiut this harness. But a couple of potential stoppers for me that deseve a mention. The reserve container is one size only and it's really small ... I'd need to also buy a lightweight reserve to suit - no chance with my Ozone one. The Edelrid carabiners may be OK, but they sure look minimal and the plastic locks a bit fragile. It folds and packs really small ... but damage those alumina rods and you may have a hefy bill (although I believe the individual sections may be available rather than a complete unit. The tail is single port opening .... it does the job, but isn't fast. It's defo comfy ... but my delicate bits found it a bit painful until prone. Tempted if I could afford.

Oh great! Now we have another thing to compare sizes with friends...🤣 The cockpit looks better and sturdyer than the arrow P with is thin. For a weight just a little bit higher.

Ok noted! ✍ Any competition harnesses in particular? 🤓 Looking at current competition harness models, we've so far published video and written reviews of the Gin Genie Race 5, Kortel Kanibal Race II, Woody Valley X-Rated7, and, if you include ultra-light competition harnesses, the Woody Valley Race. I'm currently testing the Niviuk Drifter 2 and Supair ALP, and plan to publish reviews of these, if possible (still more to do). I'd of course like to publish a review of the Ozone Submarine, and all other gear we offer, if possible! 😃

Gin Genie Race 5 competition harness review by Phil Clark video kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4bTY6utosmkjas and article flybubble.com/blog/gin-genie-race-5-review-with-phil-clark (I was originally going to do this review but the size we had to test, size L, Phil's harness, is too big for me)

For our reviews, we mainly aim to share our thoughts, as best we can, about aspects you can't read about in the product info, technical data, user manual and certification documents, based on our testing.

As always, the main reason we test gear is so we can better advise our customers on the right and best gear for them, as part of our match service. These reviews are a by-product of this, sharing our views with the freeflight community, for free. We test far more gear than we are able to produce reviews of. Also, by necessity, the reviews we do publish are only a snippet of what we actually have to say. We offer more detail, plus personalised reviews, through our match service.

Anything about the protector? Size, materials?
@flybubblecarlo3 ай бұрын
In summary: The Nova ARTUS comes with the Nova ALUMINA+ Protector fitted as standard. This "hybrid" two-part back protector system extends along the thighs and back right up to the thoracic spine and "provides extensive protection". It consists of PE foam and a very light tubular structure made of aluminium, "also used in aviation". This combination of materials gives a very low weight (235g) and pack size. For an even smaller packing volume, you can optionally replace the main protector with the inflatable Nova ARTUS AIR protector (385g).

Love your review videos usually, but why didn't you take it out of the bag and do a walk-through? Show us close-ups. Show up how much storage there is. And just wild to do a harness review and not even mention - let alone show - the back protection!

Another graet harness to compete on the market.. but the pricing of these new pods is way out of line. An XC harness (not specifically for competition use) should be more accessible to regular people. It seems like the manufacturers don't aim to attract more people to the sport, but inatead sell few of the pods only to the richest bunch. It reminds me of the motorcycle market... so let's hope that Chinese companies will also get into Paraglding and make this market more competitive 😜
