I have just watched this video. Thank you SOOOOOO much for doing this because it will help me to examine a used wing that I wish to purchase. I am leaning towards self teaching because of all the marketing going on. I found a guy that has a web site saying he uses HIS OWN equipment to train, so I called him and found he no longer does this. You have to buy 6K dollars of his equipment before you can purchase his training!!!!!! WTF?????????????

Thanks so much for this. I've just bought a Geo 7 and am happy to have a proper lesson on how to pack it. One question, what is the best way to store it if I'm not going to be flying for a week or two? Does it matter if it's compressed and folded, or should it be ventilated? Thank you!
@PeterHoldy10 ай бұрын
Glider will be happy packed tight for few weeks. No problem there. When i traveling my glider is super tight, so i can pack more stuff with me. But if you like to store your glidet for longer period of time, like storing it over the winter period. Then best way for any glider is to leave it out of your rucksack , freely openly living in spare room. So material can breath. Store it in cold and dry room. So when i know i won't use my gliders for long time , then i just leave them in my spare room. Just freely, loosely i will always drop them there in my spare room 👍 once a while i would turn them over or change their resting positions , to make sure they are not dumped , or wet from one side. Hope that this make sense 😉 Thank you for your kind super thank you 💯🙏 Appreciate it. Feel free to ask any questions. Best contact is via Instagram 👍 much quicker response. Take care. Kind Regards Peter Holdy

Just one question as I'm still looking for my "perfect" way of cell-packing my glider: at 31:30 you start rolling the wing. doesn't that bend the inner sticks? I usually keep on stacking the cells until the middle of the wing, but then I can't tuck in the wings as tidy as you do. Maybe I obsess too much about packing :D EDIT: Sorry, just realized you explain it afterwards ;)
@PeterHoldy7 жыл бұрын
Ground Hendl If you do not have Corc. Bag just normal classic one. And as you can see on video when i rolling wing tip i try be careful as i can and you can see that inner sticks are flat. If they are flat that wont damage them. But i alway do Corc. Packing as i know my inner sticks are always flat;)

@PeterHoldy5 жыл бұрын
If brake line you can change them easy , but if is it other line then send your glider for service. You should service your glider once a 1year if you flying it regularly. If you wish to fly 2 persons then you need Tandem glider + you need tandem license as well.

i have question if you use reserve parachute do you have to buy new bag? because i've seen some videos and where they use reserve and what i notch is that bag where reserve is packed just fly away.
@PeterHoldy6 жыл бұрын
Hmm if you use it in mid air and your reserve bag will fly away from you and if you can not find it after safe landing so in that case you need new bag. If you will find it, then you do not need new bag you will use your old one;) Please do no tide your reserve bag to your reserve or harness as if you will throw your reserve in emergenci and your reserve bag will be attached to your equipment in that case is big chance that your reserve wont open!!! Is better loose your bag then your life !!!

Hi everyone. Does anybody know is there a way to clean the inside of your wing? Recently i noticed there is quite a bit of dry grass inside. Is that even a problem? Should i worry about that?
@PeterHoldy6 жыл бұрын
no you do not need worries, grass or bit dirt inside wing wont affect your performance, if you want to clean wing from inside you need put your hand inside cells and carefully pick grass out. Tricky is take dirt from wing tips as you need take it out through small holes. Hope its make sense for you .

Hey again dude, so what do you think would be the best method to pack my Ozone roadster 2, it comes with a small bag the wing come in new, and also a large backpack looking kind of bag, it's maybe 5ft long 3ft wide, I'm guessing it's like a stuff sack type of deal
@PeterHoldy7 жыл бұрын
If you take care of your wing then i recommending to pack it nicely. If you have that small bag then use my tutorial how to pack your wing in small bag. Stuff sack bag is very useful when is to windy pack your wing. But always make sure you will take care of your leading edge as is it very important part of your wing. Leading edge taking most of stress when you flying so that why you should keep it nice and tidy :D Is up to you how you will pack it :D If you will take care of wing then wing will take care of you in the air !
