It takes a whole lot of skill and a big set of balls to take on what you took on. And not many would think about even doing something like that. Incredible work. I can hear many shops saying that just can't be done.

I super appreciate the words of encouragement! I watch a lot of KZbin and see other people knock this stuff out no problem.. so I gotta start somewhere :)

Thanks Cap :) I do enjoy the welding I just don’t have many opportunities to do it. I should just practice for the heck of it.

Jobs like this is probably why you see the low hanging exhaust on so many hot rods because they can't clear the cross members and other components. And they don't have the skill or knowledge that you do they just lower the exhaust altogether. Making it a hazard. Much cleaner work that you do

I didn’t think about that, but that’s a very good point!

Are these the Holley/hooker swap headers? I have an iron 5.7LS, their engine mounts and t56 crossmember. If they are the Holley can you tell how much they hang below the frame? Looks like maybe 1/2 to 1 inch from the video. Thanks in advance
@BillyFargon8 ай бұрын
Yes they are the swap headers and engine mounts. I used to have their crossmember with the 4l80e too. I don’t have an actual measurement of how much they hang down. I have never rubbed them in regular driving, just pulling onto my street with a short steep curb.

@@BillyFargon mid length is probably what I will end up with. 10 hp isn’t going do anything for me, I have some cheap patriot clipster headers from when I originally swapped the 1st LS in here. Mid length will probable still be better than my current
