If he was 6 and a half years old in this footage, and he's born in 87' that would mean this is 1993 footage, whereas there was a war between Croatia, Bosnia and Yugoslavia (today's Serbia) at the time. There was huge inflation in the country, the currency was meaningless, people were fighting over bread. I think this is in Czech Republic, I heard someone else talking in Czech in the background. Novak was definitely out of country back then, his parents probably had the money to stay in a foreign country until the war ended. That was considered a luxury back then. As for '99 year that other comments mentioned, he was obviously 12 at the time. Well, all's in past and we moved on from the nineties horror shows. I'm just 2 years younger than Novak, but I remember how fucked up things were.

I was expecting to be wowed by this video but what I saw was a 6 year old that is similar to other athletic 6 year olds (my middle son is 5 and hits like this). What I think is remarkable is what takes this 6 year old Novak to his success is years of hard work and an inner drive. My boys are all in tennis now but I don't see the inner drive. I hope they'll continue it for fun at least.

@@proximorum there was one elderly man who was great with him at the age of 4, there is a video where you can see him practice. He laid the foundation, because he was very good at teaching him!
